Metal Gear Rising Revengeance E3 2012 Preview, Demo Announced June 1, 2012

A bunch of trailers have hit the web in advance of E3 2012’s kickoff next week! First up is the highly anticipated Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, a game with a very long track record and a lot to prove. Originally premiered by Hideo Kojima himself at Microsoft’s E3 2009 press conference, the game went dark after 2010’s E3 showing. However, it came back with a punch at Spike TV’s VGA 2011 Awards Show, showing a brand new graphics engine, a brand new developer, and a brand new title.
A follow-up to the PS3-exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, the new game shifts the game’s protagonist back to the unexpected protagonist of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, RAIDEN. Armed with all the skills and abilities we saw him have in MGS4, we’re going to be using those skills and abilities in a whole new action game.
The game will be playable at this year’s E3. So what has Jack (Raiden) been doing for the past four years this game has been in development? Perhaps this video by Mega64 could shine some light on that.
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is coming to PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 early 2013. A demo for Metal Gear Rising will be included with Zone of the Enders HD Collection. The demo will be released later through Playstation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace.
