The summer has started and Niantic is kicking it off in a big way for Pokémon Go players new, returning, and current. A new series of research tasks have been added to the game and from the looks of it, can currently be attempted by all players.

We don’t know all the tasks for the event, but here are the tasks for the first set. As you can see, it comes with a HUGE X P boost just for completing the tasks in round one.

There are six total series of challenges you’ll need to complete to win whatever the final research reward is for this event. We don’t yet know what the final prize is going to be, and your guess is as good as mine. In the past, events like this have allowed players to capture Mythical Pokémon like Mew or Celebi, but it’s unlikely this event will offer something that big.

So get out and start playing, people!

Pokémon Go is out now for Android and iOS Smartphones and Tablets.

Square Enix kicked off their E3 2019 press event with the first ever gameplay reveal of their highly anticipated game Final Fantasy VII Remake. The game does not play exactly like Final Fantasy VII did, but after seeing it in action I must say I am impressed by its new gameplay style. However, the preview portion of their gameplay reveal was not released separately for people who didn’t attend the event or watched it as it was broadcasted live.

Now you can all take a look at it yourselves!

Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to the PS4 on March 3rd, 2020.

E3 2019 is a wrap and studios across the world have been sharing footage of their E3 demos with gamers who weren’t lucky enough to attend the event.

I showed the fifteen minute E3 2019 demo of Jedi: Fallen Order from EA and Respawn to several peers of mine and received back a few comments that they felt the game was too linear and the environments were too narrow for a game of this scope. Now, EA has released an extended version of that demo with an all-new level component that should quiet my peers. Take a look!

I know Disneyland currently allows you to build custom R2 and BB model radio-controlled droids (and you’ll be able to buy them at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in a few months), but I want to build one of these droids from the game!

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is coming November 15th, 2019 to Xbox One, PC and PS4.

The episodic independent game Bendy and the Ink Machine has achieved a cult status among gamers and game theorists for its deep story, unique art style and engrossing characters. For months now, Joey Drew Studios has been teasing a new game in the Bendy universe was on its way. We don’t know much about the new game at this point. It isn’t exactly a sequel but it isn’t a prequel either.

On Monday, the first ever trailer for the game to include actual gameplay was released on the internet and boy is it terrifying. Check it out.

Bendy and the Dark Revival is coming episodically.

I know we talked about Halo: Outpost Discovery earlier today, but 343 Industries revealed a preview of a second experience that will be at the event and we wanted to highlight it.

The Ring Experience intends to be a way for attendees to experience what it is like to live on a Halo ring without actually having to go there. Initial concept art made this appear as it would be delivered by being projected onto a domed screen (similar to OMNIMAX) and won’t be a VR experience like the training simulator we highlighted earlier today. This trailer looks like it includes some of the footage that will be used in the experience. Enjoy!

Halo: Outpost Discovery is coming to give US cities this year. You can read all the details about the event and purchase tickets here.

Nintendo has quietly released a required system software update for the Nintendo Switch earlier this week. The new update brings the console from version 8.0.1 to 8.1.0.

As far as I can tell, no new features have been added other than the typical bug fixes and optimizations. However, you cannot update your games or access the Nintendo eShop until installing the console update.

Microsoft will be kicking off a huge multi-city tour to bring the Halo universe into the real world with Halo: Outpost Discovery. One of the major components to Halo: Outpost Discovery is a VR training simulator. Until today, we’ve only had concept art and screenshots to go on. Now, here’s a trailer with the first actual gameplay footage. Take a look!

This looks like the VR will be a lot of fun and will probably get a lot of play by the attendees. The art style and graphics share a lot of similarity to Halo 3‘s multiplayer mode. It will be interesting to see how the VR game plays, but you can be sure we will be giving it a full review after we experience it next month!

Halo: Outpost Discovery launches next month in Orlando, Florida. Following that, it will visit more venues including Philadelphia, PA and Anaheim, CA. You can get tickets to the event here.

Microsoft released a closer look at Halo: Outpost Discovery earlier today. This special event that will take place in five cities across the US will bring real people into the the world of Halo with attractions inspired by Halo Expanded Universe, like the Halo 3 Believe campaign’s Museum of Humanity.

While we aren’t yet at the date where we will be able to actually “see” the show’s exhibits for ourselves, the people of this website have been keeping track of the show’s progress. Here’s the latest trailer, which highlights some of Outpost Discovery’s attractions and has a 3D mockup of what the show floor is going to look like. If you are like us and can’t wait to check out the show floor, give this video a watch!
