Got a 3DS system but running short on new StreetPass data? We’ve got you covered. Nintendo has announced that they’re going to be hosting a special StreetPass Weekend at Nintendo Zone locations all over the US from September 30th to October 1st.
Traditionally, Nintendo handheld owners who visit these hotspots will get the StreetPass Mii data from the six previous users of that hotspot. However, during a StreetPass Weekend, that concept is turned on its head because during that time Nintendo will send users StreetPass data from six random players from anywhere in the world. If you want a diverse set of StreetPass Miis to fill up your plaza you should totally look into participating.
Nintendo Zone locations are free WiFi access points avalible to Nintendo 2DS and 3DS owners. They can usually be found in businesses like Barnes and Noble, Best Buy, McDonald’s, Burger King, and of course Nintendo NYC. To find a participating location check here.

Quantum Break Steam Trailer Released September 23, 2016

Quantum Break remains my favorite game of this year. It has a great blend of story and action all wrapped up in an all new time based gameplay mechanic. In short, it’s everything a Remedy game should be.
When it was first released on PC, it was only available through Windows 10’s digital storefront. Since then, perspective players who have refused to upgrade to Windows 10 have been asking Remedy to release it on the Steam PC digital storefront, and last month, Remedy announced that not only would the game be coming to Steam, the PC version would also be released at retail in a collector’s edition.
Quantum Break is coming to Steam and Retail next week, and to celebrate, here’s the game’s newest trailer!
Quantum Break is out now for Xbox One and the Windows 10 digital store. It will be available on Steam and at retail September 29th.

MagiQuest Review Announcement September 21, 2016

Video Games don’t always require a game console, electronic handheld or PC to play, they can also be played in real life. What if I told you about a game where you play by interacting with the environment around you with a unique magic wand? You can then use that wand to cast spells, search for clues, and collect treasure. You would think I was crazy, wouldn’t you? Well you’d be wrong!
A few years ago the resort chain Great Wolf Lodge partnered with MagiQuest to bring the MagiQuest interactive game to their hotels. On paper, the two companies were a perfect fit. Great Wolf prides themselves on offering lots of fun activities to guests of all ages and the MagiQuest game stations and props fit perfectly in Great Wolf’s Lodges, so we have been interested in this game for quite a while.
After that enormous set up and introduction has been set aside I’m happy to announce that the staff of this website is planning to check it out for ourselves next year! Expect a review to come soon!
Pokemon Sun and Moon Exclusive Pokémon and Trainer Customization Trailer September 20, 2016

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are still a few months away from release but Nintendo has been consistently releasing all-new footage from the game to hold players over until then.
Today’s new trailer not only showed off some all-new Pokémon made specifically for each version of the game, we got to see the expanded options for customizing your Pokémon Trainer. I know a lot of people were unhappy with how limited the customization options were when they were first offered in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, so I wonder what those same people have to say about today’s trailer.
Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are coming November 18th, 2016 exclusively to Nintendo 3DS platforms.
Gaming History You Should Know – Wing Commander 3 September 19, 2016

I know I recently spent an entire recent editorial talking about the PC flight simulator Starfleet Academy but I don’t think I mentioned the fact that it was not my first PC flight sim game. No, that honor goes to Origin’s PC-DOS flight sim game Privateer 2: The Darkening.
The year was 1996, I had just got my first real PC and was loving every second I was using it. A coworker of my father’s had picked up a new game for his PC called Privateer 2, but he found himself unable to play it on his computer. Since he knew my PC was top of the line he gave the game to me and the rest is history.
While most people, including The Spoony One, hated Privateer 2 due to its extreme departure from the Wing Commander games that came before it, I thought it had a great story with amazing direction, and a fantastic cast of actors. But Privateer 2 wasn’t the first PC game by Origin to present a PC flight sim in this way, that honor actually goes to the PC game Wing Commander 3.
Veteran online critic Charles Sonnenburg, better known to the Internet by his online name SF Debris, took some time off between delivering his legendary weekly reviews of old Star Trek episodes to give a review of Wing Commander 3. Not only is the review thorough and hilarious, Chuck (can I call you Chuck?) did a great job researching the history behind the game’s development, making this a great review to watch for both veteran pilots and cadets fresh out of the academy. You can watch it here.
If you liked the review and want to give Wing Commander 3 a try for yourselves the game was available to purchase on EA’s (aptly named) Origin digital online service. Give it a look if you’re interested in checking it out, just make sure to get a good joystick first.
