Ghostbusters: The Video Game Coming to PS4 May 30, 2019

In 2009, Atari published the game many fans consider to be the true sequel to Ghostbusters 2, Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Written by the original Ghostbusters writing team of Dan Aykroyd and the late Harold Ramis, it featured the return of the original Ghostbusters team (played by their original actors) as they teamed up with an all-new Ghostbuster, called the “Rookie”, to save New York City from an all-new supernatural threat.

The game digs deep into the lore established by the original films and wraps up the franchise’s story quite well. If they had never made another piece of Ghostbusters media ever again, the game was a fine way to go out. Now, Sony has just confirmed that original game is coming to the PS4 just in time for its 10th Anniversary.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game is out now for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is coming to the PS4 later this year.

Halo: Outpost Discovery Behind the Scenes 3 May 29, 2019

The guys working on Halo: Outpost Discovery have just released an all-new Behind the Scenes video on something they plan to have on display at the show’s Hall of History, the M-12 Light Reconnaissance Vehicle, better known as the Warthog.

Since Outpost Discovery was first announced we knew a full-sized Warthog was going to be on display on the show’s floor, but we didn’t know which one they were going to use. Up until this point, I’ve known Microsoft has made at least two Warthogs and while either one of them could have been used on the show floor, both have issues with their use.

The first official real-world Warthog was constructed by WETA for the cancelled Halo feature film. That Warthog was later used in Halo: Landfall short film and had a cameo in Halo 4: Forward Until Dawn. Last I checked, it was back in New Zealand in the WETA workshop. A cousin of my neighbor saw it on display during a public tour of the facility. They weren’t allowed to say it’s name on the tour and my neighbor’s cousin doesn’t play Halo but when I asked her, “Did you see a big green Jeep with a chain gun in the back?” she said yes.

The second Warthog was 3D printed by a California-based company from the 3D models created for Halo 4. It is enormous, scaled for a person over seven feet tall to drive, but it looks more like a giant RC-car than a real vehicle of war. Last I checked it is currently on display at the at Petersen Museum in LA for the “Vehicles of Science-Fiction and Fantasy” show. Since that show will be going on for another year, Outpost Discovery can’t use that ‘hog either.

Now we can confirm they will be building their own from scratch. Take a look at it while it is still under construction.

I think it looks more like a Puma.

Last night, while many of us were glued to the 2019 Pokémon Press Event, Sony PlayStation was hosting a stream of their own in anticipation for Death Stranding, a Hideo Kojima game that defies all labels. The stream itself was quite odd, with most of the visuals obscured by shifting graphics of hands for quite some time. Earlier today, this video was posted.

Death Stranding is coming November 8th, 2019 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

Last night, The Pokémon Company made some major announcements about their plans for upcoming Pokémon games, hardware and software over the next two years. While we didn’t see anything from Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield (because those games will be previewed on a Pokémon Direct on June 5th) they did announce a new Pokémon game for the Nintendo Switch I was not expecting.

So if you missed the 2019 press event when it initially streamed, here’s the video of the entire show. Enjoy.

Pokémon Sleep is coming to smartphones in 2020. Pokémon Go is out now for smartphones. Pokémon Home is coming to Smartphones and Nintendo Switch in 2020. Detective Pikachu 2 is coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch.

Detective Pikachu 2 Announced for Nintendo Switch May 28, 2019

We played Detective Pikachu on the Nintendo 3DS and while we found it a great game that harkened back to classic mystery games I enjoyed playing on the PC back in the 90s. It also served as the framework for one of the biggest feature films this summer. However, while players were able to solve the main mystery of the game by the time it concluded, there was one mystery still left dangling at the end of game, what traumatic event happened to Detective Pikachu before the start of the game?

The Pokémon Company made a game announcement at today’s Pokémon business event, Detective Pikachu 2 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and it will continue and conclude the story set in the original Detective Pikachu game. For anyone who might have seen the feature film, don’t be surprised if the game ends differently than the film did!

Detective Pikachu 2 is coming exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

Sleep seemed to be the word of the day at the recent Pokémon business event.

Pokémon Sleep promises to do for sleeping what Pokémon Go did for walking. We have no further details about how this application will work other than the fact it will use your smartphone to record your sleeping habits.

A new Bluetooth device called the Pokémon Go Plus +, an updated version of the popular Pokémon Go Plus accessory, will assist in monitoring sleep when you put it on your bed’s mattress as you sleep. It will also function as a Pokémon Go Plus when you’re not sleeping.

Pokémon Sleep is coming to SmartPhones in 2020. Pokémon Go is out now for SmartPhones.

The Pokémon Company’s biggest announcement at their official business conference was Pokémon Home, a new application that plans to integrate your ongoing Pokémon collection among wide variety of Pokémon games on multiple platforms.

It is possible this application could be the Hub of all Pokémon content I have been waiting for since the 3DS was announced? Pokémon Home will offer full integration with the recent Pokémon games and services including Pokémon Bank on 3DS, Pokémon Go for smartphones, Pokémon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee and the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield games on the Nintendo Switch.

Most importantly, this application will support trading with other local Pokémon players, although they admit the process for how this will work is still being worked on.

Pokémon Home is coming to Smartphones and Nintendo Switch in 2020.

A minor software update was released for Apple iOS devices this past weekend. The new update fixes some problems with VoLTE calls connecting and reporting for iMessage spam.

If you previously had iOS 12.3 installed, we don’t expect the update will take very long to download or install. We tried installing it on multiple different iOS 12 devices and the update weighed in at around 50MB.

Mind of Maniac – Why Are So Many Major Retailers Unable to Competently Host a Pokemon Event? May 23, 2019

Welcome back to a new Mind of Maniac, where our site’s Editor is able to freely speak about the issues of the day.

The Pokémon Company has been offering numerous promotions at retailers across the US to promote the new Detective Pikachu feature film. Companies like Target, Walmart, GameStop and even movie theaters like Cinemark have signed up to do these events, where they give away free posters and cards for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. While stores like GameStop have held events like this in the past successfully, other Pokémon events are being held by incompetently organized stores full of employees who aren’t informed of these events in advance, or fail to receive the promotional items they are supposed to be distributing. This can get extremely frustrating to consumers who wish to participate in them.

Here’s some of my biggest horror stories about these events from just the past month. Watch to find out: Who is good, Who is bad, and why aren’t more online pundits talking about this?
