Apple has released a slew of updates for many of their products this evening. That includes everything from Mac to iPhone. Today’s minor update for iOS 12-powered iPhones and iPads includes multiple bug fixes and optimizations with no new major features. iOS 12.1.2, which was only released for iPhones, added many bugs to iDevices, and this new version hopes to fix them.

You can download the update through your device’s software update feature or through iTunes. Depending on your device you will need to download around 250MB.

Gaming History You Should Know – No More Heroes Retrospective January 20, 2019

It’s Sunday and welcome back to Gaming History You Should Know, where we feature some of the best fan-created content from across the entire internet. On Friday, the Nintendo Switch saw the release of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, the third game in the No More Heroes series.

No More Heroes has been a franchise that we’ve covered in the past but haven’t been able to give an in-depth discussion as of late. The games were directed by Suda51 and follow the exploits of Travis Touchdown, a gamer who tries to become the world’s greatest assassin. The game’s themes are deeply rooted in gaming, anime, and Japanese culture and hold a special place in my heart. While the newest game has been considered by most critics and fans to be a spin-off of the original games, it does follow story and plot from the first two games in the NMH franchise.

YouTube creator GhenryPerez is a big fan of game developers like Platinum Games and Grasshopper Manufacture. He’s also a big fan of the work of Suda51, and has created an ongoing analysis series of his games, Deadly Individualism. Up to this point GhenryPerez has featured six of Suda51’s games in that series, starting with Killer7. It’s a great video series which breaks down every single character in the game, talks about their motivations, and offers some behind the scenes histories on their development. If you ever had any questions about NMH, you need to watch these videos!

Hope you enjoyed these videos while you play Travis Strikes Again. Special thanks to GhentryPerez for letting me link these videos on the site. Check him out on YouTube his videos are great! Click here if you want to watch his most recent video on Lollipop Chainsaw.

No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2 are out now exclusively on Nintendo Wii. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

The biggest game EA is planning for this season must be Anthem by BioWare. It’s a persistent multiplayer game with a deep single player campaign. To me, this feels a lot like Bungie’s Destiny, but with a lot more gameplay options.

EA posted the first video of their newest series, This Is Anthem. This particular video will focus on the game’s story, progression and customization. If you want to know more about how this game will work, this is a video you need to watch.

Anthem is coming in 2019 to PC, Xbox One and PS4. A demo is coming Feb 1st, 2019.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Launch Trailer January 18, 2019

Travis Strikes Again is the third game in the No More Heroes franchise, and a game I’m so pleased to see developed exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The game was first announced alongside the Nintendo Switch, but details about it were scarce at that time. Now we know the game will feature series hero Travis and a partner (playable by couch co-op) battle through multiple game challenges inspired by games from the 80s and early 90s.

Take a look at the game’s launch trailer and see for yourself what is in store for us! It isn’t No More Heroes 3 (that may come later), but it sure looks sounds and feels like a No More Heroes game.

We are continuing our Let’s Play of Spider-Man on the PS4 Pro. In this part we check out some of the game’s research stations, battle with the Shocker (who shocks people), get evicted, and try to find a place to crash for the night.

All gameplay footage includes full video commentary.

Eagle eyed viewers may notice this part has a resolution drop from previous parts. That is due to the fact we were unhappy with the framerate we were getting at higher resolutions. We will be tweaking the resolution over the next few parts to see what we like best.

Spider-Man is out now exclusively for PS4.

New Super Mario Bros U was the Mario launch title for the Wii U back in 2012. The console didn’t sell well despite some great first party games. It got an expansion pack New Luigi Bros U in 2013 as part of the Year of Luigi. Now both games are on the Nintendo Switch, and here’s the official launch trailer!

New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe is out now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
