Xbox Live Offering Halo 4 Avatar Armor to Political Debate Viewers September 30, 2012

Interested in getting your hands on some SPARTAN-IV Golden Warrior Armor for your Xbox Live Avatar?  Time to get political.

Microsoft will be streaming four major political debates on Xbox Live in the month of October, and they are promising for the people who watch them, an option to unlock an exclusive Halo 4 avatar award, the Golden Warrior Armor.  The debates will be made up of three debates for the President and one for the Vice President.

You must be an Xbox Live Rewards Member in order to be eligible for the avatar reward.  However, if you are currently a member of Xbox Live, you can register for the Xbox Rewards program for free.  To earn the avatar award you must watch at least three of the four upcoming debates, and at least thirty minutes of each debate in order to be eligible.

If you follow all the instructions and meet the requirements to earn the avatar reward Microsoft will e-mail you with the details to download the armor to your Xbox 360.

The Debates will take place between 9pm and 10:30pm EST on October 3rd, 11th, 16th, and 22nd.  Halo 4 is coming November 6th, 2012.

Dead Space 3 Eudora Gameplay September 28, 2012

Originally teased a few days ago, here is the latest gameplay video for Dead Space 3, uncut.

The footage is from the single-player campaign, and shows what looks to be the early segments of the game, when Issac must make it off the Eudora, a spaceship that was recently attacked.  Things look quite critical for Issac as he scrambles to make it off the ship alone.

Dead Space 3 is coming February 5th, 2013 to the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Halo 4 Has Gone Gold September 28, 2012

The Halo Waypoint Twitter Feed has confirmed this morning that Halo 4 has gone gold, over one month in advance of its projected release date.  When a game goes gold, it means that production on it has ended and the game is ready to be shipped for manufacturing.

For those of you who may be interested in seeing just what this new game is bringing to the table, here’s a detailed look at the new weapons that are coming to the game from the Prometheans, Halo’s newest enemy.

Congratulations to 343 Industries on completing the first game in what is going to become the next Halo trilogy!

Halo 4 is coming November 6th, 2012 exclusive to the Xbox 360.

Mass Effect Trilogy Announced September 28, 2012

The Bioware Blog has officially announced that the entire Mass Effect Trilogy is being released for the Xbox 360, PC and PS3.  This will include the first time the original Mass Effect has been released for the Playstation 3.

The Mass Effect series was considered by many to be one of the finest gaming franchises of this generation.  All three games will be bundled together in a nice collector’s edition with exclusive artwork just in time for the Holidays.  The price is expected to be $59.99US.  You can read more details about the game here.

Mass Effect Trilogy will be coming Holiday 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Dead Space 3 Eudora Gameplay Revealed September 26, 2012

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn “Lecture” Scene September 22, 2012

Is it October yet?  Halo Waypoint and Machinima Prime have released a new scene from the upcoming live-action series Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn.  In this scene, we get to see just what a marine training in the UNSC could expect their lectures to be like.

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn will release its first episode October 5th, 2012 to Machinima Prime and Halo Waypoint.  The entire live action movie will be released as a director’s cut with the Halo 4 Limited Edition November 6th, 2012.

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance TGS 2012 Trailer September 22, 2012

We’ve seen the gameplay, but those of you who have been waiting to see just what the story was going to be for Metal Gear Rising Revengance, the wait is over.  Released at Tokyo Game Show 2012, this five-minute trailer is probably the most in-depth look at the game’s plot that we’ve seen at this point.  We also get a great look at the enemies and the allies that Raiden will have over the course of the game, and if you pay attention there are subtle nods to other games in the Metal Gear series.

Metal Gear Rising Revengance is coming February 2013 to PS3 and Xbox 360.  A demo will be included with Zone of Enders HD Collection.
