Mewtwo Codes for Pokemon Let’s Go Coming to Best Buy October 31, 2019

The Pokémon Pass app has revealed that the major electronics retailer Best Buy will be offering free mystery gift codes for the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo starting on November 4th. The Pokemon Company have very rarely offered mystery gifts for the Let’s Go games on the Switch and even though you can already obtain Mewtwo through normal means, many players can miss their only chance to capture him.

To obtain the Mewtwo Mystery Gift code, you need only visit a Best Buy retail store after November 4th and scan a special code on display in the store using the Pokémon Pass application. A similar event is going on as we speak at GameStop stores across the country. By visiting those stores and scanning their code before the 11th, you can earn a special Legendary code that could be redeemed in any GEN7 title.

I have to say that I’m very happy about the Pokémon Pass application despite the fact I’ve heard a lot of negative comments about it over the past few weeks. I’ve complained constantly last year that major retailers (other than GameStop and Toys R Us) have failed to competently promote free Pokémon promotions for as long as I could remember. By letting an application like Pokémon Pass take over for the role of an otherwise overworked and undertrained clerk, it saves Pokémon Trainers the hassle of asking random employees of major retailers questions the employee will likely be unable to comprehend. Yes you do need to create a free account on The Official Pokemon Website (your Pokémon TCG Online account will work!) and enable Pokémon Pass support in your account, but that is still less irritating than the former option.

Pokémon Pass is free to download right now on your Android or Apple device. Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee are out right now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

Ring Fit Adventure is an interesting concept for a game. Part RPG, part exercise equipment. Due to its included peripherals, it has a $20 increased price over other new Nintendo Switch games. Due to that price premium we thought it would be a good idea to show what was included in the game’s box.

Ring Fit Adventure is out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

The Last of Us Part II Delayed October 24, 2019

A rumor began to circulate earlier today that The Last of Us Part II, a game that could go down as one of the final major exclusives for the PS4, has been delayed. Now, I’m sorry to say that rumor has been confirmed.

Here is the official word from the game’s director. It is odd that Naughty Dog has chosen to delay the game so soon after setting what we thought was a solid release date (especially since Naughty Dog made us wait several years after announcing the game to even provide a release date!) but the final product is shaping up to be an incredible experience and one I’m willing to wait just a little bit longer for.

The Last of Us Part II is coming May 29th, 2020 exclusively for the PS4.
