You can’t look at a picture of an event like the X Games and not see signs for Monster Energy, one of the most well known energy drinks in the US. Now, despite the fact that Halo: Infinite has been delayed until next year, Monster Energy has revealed they are doing a promotion with 343 Industries to offer in-game bonuses like Double XP and an exclusive weapon skin.

But what do I think of Monster Energy? Does it surprise you that I’ve never drank it before? Take a look and see what I think of it.

Welcome back to Maniac’s Kitchen, where we review gaming foods and share recipes for gamers. Today, we’re going to highlight Deep River Snacks, which sells high quality potato chips in our region. We’ve wanted to highlight them for a while and this new Ninja Ginger flavor chip is the perfect chip to start with.

Ginger is an old-school gamer’s solution for motion sickness. With the increased use for Virtual Reality, ginger-flavored goodies are popping up everywhere. I like ginger, typically with sushi, so I figured these chips should taste great to me. Let’s try these chips out and see how they taste.

Coca-Cola has jumped into the Energy Drink market with their brand-new beverages. While Maniac’s heart will always belong to Bawls, he was willing to try out Coke’s newest product. Since he prefers Cherry Coke over regular, (and he could draw direct comparisons to Bawls’s recent Cherry Cola release) he picked the Coca-Cola Cherry Energy Drink to review. Let’s see how he likes it.

It has been no secret to most long term visitors to this site we are super fans of Bawls high-caffeinated soda. It has been a staple of LAN parties everywhere for nearly two decades. Earlier this year, the company announced a new flavor was being added to their soda lineup, Cherry Cola.

Bawls was nice enough to provide us a case of their soda for this review. What do you say we try it? Just be aware we are going to say Bawls a lot…

Stay tuned we might be doing more game streaming this week with our supply of Bawls at our side!

Weeks earlier, Rockstar Energy Drink announced a promotion where they would offer exclusive Gears 5 downloadable content in specially marked cans of Rockstar Energy Drink. A few weeks ago, we reviewed one of the very few cans we could find on sale. After several weeks of searching, we finally found ANOTHER specially marked can of Rockstar Energy Drink, this time in a can of Energy Punch, a flavor we have never tried.

So here’s our fist ever taste of Rockstar Energy Punch. Has the search been worth it?

Gears 5 is out now for PC and Xbox One.

Sit back and relax because Maniac is going to do something different for today’s episode of Maniac’s Kitchen. He’s going to tell a story of the first time he had Japanese food and what a unique experience it was. We didn’t have sushi. We didn’t have hibachi. This…was something else.

Please post a comment below if you know the name of what kind of dining experience this was or what you thought of this video!

Maniac’s Kitchen – Rockstar Energy Drink Gears 5 Promotion Taste Test September 29, 2019

Earlier this month, we reported that Rockstar Energy Drink was partnering with Microsoft to offer free codes for exclusive Gears 5 downloadable content (DLC) to players who purchase specially marked cans of the beverage. However, in the time since we wrote that bit of news it has been next to impossible for us to find those marked cans of the beverage in any of our local shops or retail stores.

Eventually, we were able to find ONE flavor of Rockstar Energy Drink that had the Gears 5 marking in our area, this one is called the Pure Zero flavor (due to the fact it advertises it has 0 calories). We never tried REG before, so we decided to give it a taste test on camera to see how well it stacks up against other beverages.

Gears 5 is out now for Xbox One and PC.

Welcome back to Maniac’s Kitchen where we share recipes and review all kinds of gaming food. It’s not my birthday but I couldn’t resist checking out Cold Stone Creamery, the ice cream shop known for mixing a whole assortment of toppings into their creamy ice cream.

In conjunction with Nintendo to promote the recent release of Super Mario Maker 2, Cold Stone has released two limited-time menu options. Today, we’re going to review the Rainbow Sprinkle Road Cake, which is clearly inspired by Nintendo’s Mario Kart franchise. Let’s see how it tastes!

Cold Stone says they will personalize your cake with any name you wish when you order it. We chose to get the smallest version of the cake since nobody but me seemed interested in eating it. If you need a bigger cake for a large party, larger round cakes can be made.

Welcome back to Maniac’s Kitchen where we share food reviews and recipes for the perfect gaming food. Today, we’ll be sharing a recipe originally inspired by Food Network’s Chef Robert Irvine with our own little twist on it, Roasted Chickpeas.

Roasted Chickpeas are the perfect snack for gamers with specific dietary restrictions. This recipe is vegan and gluten free.

For this recipe you’ll need the following:

  • Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans)
  • Olive Oil (we used Roasted Garlic Oil from Sticky Situations)
  • Sea Salt
  • Seasoning (we used a special dry rub)

The cereal makers over at General Mills are running a special Pokémon promotion between now and mid-March. They’re offering packs of three random cards from the Pokémon TCG in every one of their specially marked cereal boxes. That includes cereal like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Lucky Charms. At least thirteen different TCG cards can be gotten in this promotion with five special foil cards among them.

Today, we’re going to look closer at this promotion (while it is still going on) and give out all the information we can about it. Watch the video below to find out where can you shop to find a participating box of cereal, how to spot a participating box on the shelf, and what we got when we opened the box!
