Square Enix made a huge announcement coming out of EVO 2017, and I’m more happy to report it to all of you. Dissidia NT, a game I had a blast playing at E3 2017, will be getting a closed beta test on the PS4 and you can sign up for it right now.
EVO attendees interested in playing should not sign up for the beta in this way. Square Enix has revealed they will be emailing out guaranteed beta access codes to EVO attendees. If you haven’t gotten yours yet, check your email because you should be getting yours soon!
For those of you who haven’t had the chance to play the game yet, here’s a closer look at it!
I know Square Enix made this announcement over a day ago, but I was unwilling to talk about this until now due to ongoing technical issues with the official website. As of now, those issues appear to be resolved and because of that I encourage everyone to go sign up as soon as possible!
Dissidia NT is coming exclusively to the PS4 in 2018.

To show its versatility, Sony bundled an initial shipment of PSP systems with the UMD version of the film Spider-Man 2, one of the best movies of the previous year.
Shortly after the PSP launched, the UMD Video format saw higher than expected sales, and various movie studios started to release their films in the UMD video format.
So how good was UMD Video, what kinds of movies saw release for it, and what caused it to die? Sit back and enjoy our complete retrospective on the UMD Video format.

Pokemon TCG Online Codes Offered in Last Month’s Pokemon Newsletter Should Activate Later Today July 12, 2017
Posted by Maniac in Game News.add a comment
Every month, the guys over at The Pokemon Company send out an e-mail newsletter with the latest official news about the Pokémon franchise. Pokémon Trainers all over the world should pay close attention to these newsletters as they can include unique unlock codes for the 3DS games or Pokémon TCG Online. About a month ago, The Pokémon Company included a unique Pokémon TCG Online code in that month’s newsletter which they said will expire on July 30, 2017. However, unlike every previous code offered in the Pokémon Newsletter, users who input their codes got a weird message that they were not yet active, and would not be active until this week…several weeks after the codes were originally issued.
For people who got this message when trying to redeem their free Pokémon TCG Online code, I have good news for you. No, your e-mail has not been hacked, nor are there any issues with Pokémon TCG Online, the codes were simply sent by mistake, and the game’s developers are working hard to rectify it.
You will be able to redeem Pokémon TCG Online codes on every platform the game is available on except for the iPad version. You can also redeem your code on Pokemon.com. As of this time of writing, the codes are still not active, but I’ll update the article when they can be redeemed.
Gaming History You Should Know – Popular Silent Hill Fan Theories Debunked July 9, 2017
Posted by Maniac in Gaming History You Should Know, Uncategorized.add a comment
It’s Sunday and that means it is once again time for Gaming History You Should Know, where we look at some of the best gaming history content produced on the internet. What can I say about Silent Hill that hasn’t already been said? It’s a beloved gaming franchise published by Konami that has, after several management missteps, fallen onto hard times. Silent Hill‘s strength has always been its themes and how it defines horror. Just like any well-written story, Silent Hill‘s content has left itself open to interpretation, and I know that fans have created their own theories about the games over the years. Some of those fan theories have gone on to be accepted canon by the majority of Silent Hill fans, while other fan theories rely on concepts directly contradicted by in-game dialog or the game’s developers.
Dena Natali of the YouTube Channel Cyborcat runs one of my favorite channels on that entire website. She’s a long standing fan of the Silent Hill franchise and to this date has done several in-depth reviews and analysis of nearly every game in the franchise. I know I’ve featured her reviews in the past, but her videos are just so darn good I think her channel deserves another look.
Recently, Dena produced a video about her top five Silent Hill fan theories that are wrong. These theories have been spread across the web over the past few years, and she organized them by their level of personal frustration. Its a great video my girlfriend and I enjoyed watching together and it is clear Dena really knows the history of Silent Hill. Enjoy!
Hope you all enjoyed the video as much as I did. In fact Dena’s videos have inspired me to take a closer look at Silent Hill, and that means we could produce some of our own Silent Hill related articles or videos in the future! Be sure to stay tuned to this website or subscribe to stay up to date with all our latest content!

Massive Halo News Revealed Today July 6, 2017
Posted by Maniac in Game News.add a comment
Microsoft and 343 Industries made several massive announcements earlier today and I’m happy to reveal them to all of you.
First off, current owners of Halo 5: Guardians for the Xbox One will be happy to learn the game will be upgraded to natively support 4K displays when played on the upcoming Xbox One X console. This puts Halo 5 on the list of Xbox One games (including Gears of War 4) that will offer enhancements when played on the Xbox One X.
Secondly, Microsoft has announced they will be offering Xbox One backwards compatibility with the Xbox 360 games Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. This means Xbox One players with original copies of those games will be able to play the original versions of those games on the Xbox One without having to buy Halo: The Master Chief Collection. While Backwards Compatible users won’t be able to play against Halo: MCC players, they will be able to play online multiplayer against Xbox 360 players. The best part of this announcement is Microsoft now intends to offer all the games’ DLC (including the multiplayer map packs) for free.
Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is out now on the Xbox 360. Halo 5: Guardians is out now exclusively for the Xbox One.
