If you’d like to check PlayStation Network messages while on the go, you needed to install the official PlayStation App to your Android or iOS device. Today, Sony split the functionality of the PlayStation App into two seperate apps, the PlayStation App and PlayStation Messages.
If you download the PlayStation App update, and you want to continue sending PlayStation Network messages from your SmartPhone you’ll need to download PlayStation Messages. You’ll still be able to send and receive messages from your PS4 without issue.
Both apps are completely free to download and weigh in between 10-20MB each.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Will Use Unreal Engine 4 and Will Release in Episodes December 7, 2015

I think that headline pretty much sums up this news. This weekend, there was no bigger reveal at this year’s PlayStation Experience than the newest trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake. And now, we have two other major announcements to make about it.
Yesterday, Square Enix announced that, to guarantee the highest quality final product, Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released as a series of episodes. While a lot of people online have cried foul about this announcement, this does mean that we could end up getting sections of the game released earlier than expected. Even Square Enix admitted the game was so big there was no way they could have it completely remade using modern graphics until at least 2017. I’m willing to give Square the benefit of the doubt here, they did very well this year with the episodic release of Life is Strange.
Today, Epic Games officially announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be powered by Unreal Engine 4, an incredibly powerful cross-platform engine designed for Xbox One, PS4 and high-end PCs. This is a big announcement as this engine powers some of the best looking games of the generation, while maintaining a stable frame rate on the latest console platforms.
You can be sure to stay tuned to this website for the latest information about the game.

One year ago, Square Enix took the stage at PlayStation Experience to make a huge Final Fantasy VII announcement. However, instead of announcing that they were fully remaking the game for modern hardware, they announced that they were porting the original game to the PS4 with its original graphics. Fans were disappointed because many have been wanting to see Square remake Final Fantasy VII with updated 3D graphics since 2006.
Then, at E3 2015, Square Enix revealed Final Fantasy VII was going to be remade for the PS4 and PC at the Sony E3 2015 Press Event. Get your Materia ready, Square Enix took the stage earlier today to show this.
Anyone in North America or Europe who downloads the original version of Final Fantasy VII to their PS4 will get an official PS4 theme for the Final Fantasy VII Remake free of charge.
