The lecture was streamed live on Twitch.tv and it is now up on Gnomon’s official Twitch Channel. If you are like me and want to know more about what went into making the PS4 masterpiece Spider-Man you need to watch this video. We tried to embed the event’s Twitch feed, but our site framework is having trouble understanding Twitch feeds so we published the direct link below. We will update this post with a proper video embed when the video is published on YouTube.

Happy 25th Birthday, Insomniac Games February 8, 2019

Ladies and gentlemen, Ted Price.
I first became aware of the work of Insomniac games during the original PlayStation era. Throughout the years they had created incredibly popular games like Spyro: The Dragon and Ratchet and Clank. However, as a PC only gamer I missed out on those classic titles. I first played an Insomniac game shortly after buying a PlayStation 3. It was mid-2007 and I had heard the best game on the console was called Resistance: Fall of Man. Those rumors were correct.
I continued to support the Resistance games throughout the PS3’s lifespan and absolutely loved Sunset Overdrive when it was released on the Xbox One. Recently, we’ve been playing Spider-Man on a regular basis and I feel it is without a doubt the best game on the PS4.
Cheers, Insomniac. Can’t wait to see what you have coming up next!
