Yesterday, Microsoft gave its first major preview of the fourth (by my count) remake of the original Halo, which is currently planned to release on multiple platforms including the PS5. They promised more news and a new story trailer for the game would be released on Monday. Today, Microsoft made good on that promise. Let’s take a look at the game’s new cinematic story trailer.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is coming July 2026 to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

We know that Microsoft owns a major component of the gaming industry, mostly with their publisher buyouts and acquisitions. However, the Xbox platform has failed to gain traction this generation, and it has been expected that Microsoft may release some of their major titles to third-party platforms such as the PS5 or Switch 2 in order to recoup development costs. That speculation ended yesterday.

Yesterday, Microsoft released their Xbox Games Showcase, where they highlighted a dozen new titles (between new games, previously announced games, and expansion packs for existing titles) that will be coming to the Xbox platform. The most hyped game from this video remains Gears of War E-Day, which will be releasing this fall exclusive on Microsoft’s platforms.

If you’re interested in seeing what is coming to Xbox or want to see an extended preview of the next Gears of War, you need to give this a watch.

All games announced will be coming to the Xbox Series X/S.
