Two days ago, Sony announced the release date for The Last of Us Part II and promised a major preview of the game was coming. Today, they have delivered on that promise. News articles around the internet have been buzzing with game previews of two important levels in the game. The full footage of those levels did not get released, but Sony has released their official written preview of those levels on the PlayStation Blog and released this abridged video of the levels with developer commentary.

A major system update I have been waiting for has been released for the iPad. It includes a revolutionary new interface inspired by macOS, support for the new Dark Mode, improved Apple Pencil support, and a lot more! It also adds support for the new Apple Arcade service that originally launched on the iPhone last week. It weighs in at around 1.9GB.

iPhone users who upgraded to iOS 13 last week will find a new software update, version 13.1 is now up for download as well. This update includes the last few features promised in iOS 13 included improved battery life, Airdrop and Airplay improvements. If you already have iOS 13 installed, it’ll weigh in at around 500MB.

We’re not finished yet. Apple TV owners will also need to update the most recent units to unlock device support for the new Apple Arcade. You can download this right now using your streaming box’s software update feature.

If you own a recent model iPhone, particularly the iPhone 6S or newer, Apple has just released a brand-new operating system for your Phone. Rejoice, Dark Mode is finally here!

iOS 13 includes a slew of new features that are being introduced this year including support for the new premium Apple Arcade service which launches today. Other features include a limited Animoji support for older devices and new Photo editing options.

You can download this update right now through your device’s Software Updafe feature or through iTunes. Just be aware the download will range at about 1.8-1.9 GB so you’ll need to be on WiFi before you attempt to install it yourself.

iOS 13 will only be compatible with iPhones. iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch, and Mac owners will be getting all-new distinct operating systems which will be released over the next few weeks. iPadOS, something I’ve been looking forward to installing on my iPad, was originally planned to be released on September 30th, but that release may be moved up to September 24th.

If you plan to buy an iPhone 11 model phone (including the Pro, Max or regular model) your device will already include iOS 13 preinstalled. Those new iPhones will be in stores starting tomorrow.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 E3/Gamescom 2019 Demo Video September 18, 2019

We are a little behind on this one but I felt reposting it was absolutely merited. Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines remains to this day one of my favorite PC games of all time. It’s dark themes, incredible art style, varied gameplay, rocking soundtrack, and intriguing characters set it aside from any other game I had ever played. Over a decade later, we are finally getting a sequel on the PC and modern consoles! Best announcement ever!

I was so psyched to hear about this announcement but up until this point we hadn’t seen an in-depth look at the game. In fact, the initial E3 2019 PC Trailer was so brief an extended trailer had to be released almost immediately afterwards. Questions about the game remained in my head. Would the new game’s art style match up with the original, especially since it takes place in a different city? How will the game continue the story from the first game since this was an entirely new player character?

Paradox has released a let’s play of the demo they produced for E3 and Gamescom 2019. After watching it I can say my questions are answered. Take a look and I’ll bet your questions will be answered too!

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is coming early 2020 to PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Welcome back to Maniac’s Kitchen where we share recipes and review all kinds of gaming food. It’s not my birthday but I couldn’t resist checking out Cold Stone Creamery, the ice cream shop known for mixing a whole assortment of toppings into their creamy ice cream.

In conjunction with Nintendo to promote the recent release of Super Mario Maker 2, Cold Stone has released two limited-time menu options. Today, we’re going to review the Rainbow Sprinkle Road Cake, which is clearly inspired by Nintendo’s Mario Kart franchise. Let’s see how it tastes!

Cold Stone says they will personalize your cake with any name you wish when you order it. We chose to get the smallest version of the cake since nobody but me seemed interested in eating it. If you need a bigger cake for a large party, larger round cakes can be made.

Rockstar Energy Drink has revealed a huge cross promotional event with Microsoft this month. They will be providing in-game codes for various Gears 5 exclusive items in specially marked cans of Rockstar Energy Drink. If you need to know what to look for, watch this.

To this date I haven’t seen any Gears 5 marked cans in my local supermarkets but certain retailers including Walmart and Circle K have promised extra codes will be added to sales receipts.

You can redeem your tab and receipt codes on this website. Just be aware you’ll need to sign up on the REG site with a valid email address to earn codes and have an active Xbox Live account to redeem them.

Gears 5 is out now for PC and Xbox One.
