Starfox Released for Switch 2 June 25, 2026

Nintendo has officially released Starfox for the Nintendo Switch 2! This is an official remake of the classic Super Nintendo game based on the legendary Nintendo 64 version featuring superior graphics and gameplay enhanced for the Joy-Con 2 controllers. Personally, I remember spending several wonderful Saturday afternoons playing the N64 game (with rumble) with my close friends, and thought that this game was without a doubt one of the most immersive 3D titles of its time. While I never got a Nintendo 64 of my own, I did own a GameCube, and played through all of the sequel Starfox Adventures. I also played the game on the Wii’s Virtual Console and the 3D version for Nintendo 3DS.
