How to Connect an Older Console to a New SmartTV July 24, 2018

Got a new How To video today, produced by popular demand. Several viewers have been leaving me comments over the past year with questions that revolve around an inability to find component or composite inputs on their newer 4K Smart Televisions. Earlier game consoles like the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation 1 used composite-out cables to connect to a television. Later consoles like the Wii or original model Xbox 360 supported high definition and progressive scan video using component cables. The number one question I’ve been getting asked is, “Where are these inputs on my new TV?”

Reminder: Legendary Pokémon Distribution at Target Stores Until July 28 July 24, 2018

We’re a little late posting this story up but we have a very good reason for that. The Pokémon Company has once again decided to distribute this month’s Legendary Pokémon, Tornadus and Thunderous at Target retail stores across the US. Take a look.

Unlike the previous time Target held this promotion, this month’s distribution has been a big headache. At least one store in my area did not have codes and didn’t have a clue what I was talking about when I asked about them. In that case you’ll simply have to leave and try a different store. I’ve also noticed that the employees at the Target stores in my area are not leaving their codes with their technical people, they’re now being left in the open on the store shelves near the Pokémon video game collectibles. Ask an employee near the electronics section where your code might be.

The codes will work in copies of Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun or Pokémon Ultra Moon. Those games are out now exclusively for Nintendo 3DS systems.
