Major Pokémon Go Update Coming 12/12 December 7, 2016

Posted by Maniac in Game News.

The developers over at Niantic have made two enormous announcements in the past few days. The first is that a new update for Pokémon Go is being slowly phased through the Android and iOS versions of the application.  The biggest inclusion of this new update is the ability to transfer multiple Pokémon at once, opposed to one at a time.

Next, wireless provider Sprint has announced an official partnership with the application, and intend to turn their Sprint stores into official Pokéstops and Gyms.  I’m sure lots of Sprint users will be happy to hear that the next time they need to head to a Sprint store.

The next announcement is going to be a big one so make sure you’re sitting down before you read it.  The official Pokémon twitter feed has announced that all new Pokémon are going to be added to Pokémon Go on 12/12!  While they did not add any more information than that, many have speculated this may mean the one hundred new Pokémon created for Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver are going to be added to Pokémon Go in just a few days!

Lots of great news!  If you haven’t been playing a lot recently, now might be a good time to log back into the app and catching up on everything before the new version comes out!

Pokémon Go is out now for Android and iOS devices. It is free to download.
