The first major system update in quite some time has just been released and Xbox One owners can download it right now.
Take a look at all the new features.
The new update is not currently required to download in order to use the Xbox One, but you can manually download it through the Xbox One’s Settings App.
A new controller firmware update was released along with the new dashboard. Make sure to update your controllers as well. To update your controller you will need a USB 3.0 cable, but if you have an Xbox One play and charge kit, the cable included with that kit will work just fine.

On the day of the game’s launch, Maniac did a live video stream of the entire first episode of the multiplatform episodic adventure game Life is Strange. The stream was quite popular and people watching it asked a lot of questions and gave some great advice.
This footage was entirely streamed from the Playstation 4. It is presented with video commentary and a transcript of the live comments Maniac was getting as he played.
Just be aware, this is a complete playthrough so if you want to avoid spoilers, give it a miss until you have played the game yourself.
Life is Strange is out now on the PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

iOS 8.1.3 Released January 29, 2015

A minor system update for iOS powered devices has been released early this morning. The new update, iOS 8.1.3, fixes several issues with the iPhone and iPad. Without a doubt the most popular fix included in this update is the lowered memory requirements for future software updates. Many users suffering from low storage space have been complaining for quite some time at the large amount of free space that Apple requires when performing a system update without iTunes assistance and this update will hopefully reduce the amount of free space your Apple iDevice will require when performing updates in the future. It also improves gestures in the iPad and other stability improvements.
iOS 8.1.3 is out now and can be installed on all iOS 8 devices including the iPhone 4s, 5, 5s, 5c, 6 and 6 Plus models, as well as several models of iPad including the iPad with Retina, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, and the iPad Mini series. The update is free.

Sunset Overdrive Day One Edition Unboxing January 26, 2015

In 2007, I bought a Playstation 3 just so I could play one of its launch titles, Resistance: Fall of Man. The console floundered in its first year due to its high price but Insomniac Games provided me a reason to buy a Playstation 3 within its first year on the market.
Now, one year into the lifespan of the Xbox One, Microsoft bet on Insomniac Games to produce a console exclusive title players will be talking about. Insomniac provided all the staples they are famous for, unusual weapons, an art style that stands out, and a great amount of polish.
I may be a little late to this party, but I am happy to say that I finally arrived. This is Sunset Overdrive Day One Edition for the Xbox One.
Sunset Overdrive is out now exclusively on the Xbox One.
