Apple Update 26.5 Released May 11, 2026

Apple has just released an important incremental update for practically everything they currently sell. The new update, 26.5, brings in full compatibility with RCS encryption for texting use between Apple and Android devices, alongside some new wallpapers and other various bug features.

We’ve spent most of the night doing our own internal testing and have determined the update ranges in size between 1.6GB and 3.5GB. Strangely enough, it seems to be a larger update on devices that are not capable of Apple Intelligence, such as the iPhone 14 or 10th Generation iPad.
