Early access has begun for Marvel’s Avengers, and we have got it! We have waited a long time to play this game and now we are going to see if it can live up to the hype. All gameplay footage is provided with picture-in-picture video commentary.
ED Note: Unfortunately the video file we recorded had a noticeable drop in picture quality around the 45 minute mark that does not let up. While the video is still watchable, we didn’t want to think anyone watching it was having trouble with their equipment.

iOS and iPadOS 13.7 Released September 1, 2020

Start your updates people, because Apple has just released new updates for iPad and iPhones. The new version, 13.7, improves exposure tracking for iPhones and adds new Memoji features for the iPad.
Get the update now. If you previously had a recent update installed on your device, this new version should only clock in at around 130MB.

Marvel’s Avengers is out September 4th for PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Stadia. It is out now if you have a deluxe edition of the game.

Welcome back to Tales from IT, where I talk about some of my most noteworthy computer jobs. People have asked me if I ever get the opportunity to have fun on a job site. I know it may not look like it, but I’m actually a professional when it comes to my work. Typically, if I’m called in to do a job like fix a computer, I will focus entirely on that job until it is completed while I’m being assigned that job.
That said, occasionally I’m given 9 to 5 assignments that are not entirely structured, or I’m given the opportunity to be creative with my testing procedures while at work. This is a story of one of those times.
Happy One Year Anniversary Control August 28, 2020

One year ago, Remedy launched Control. It is a game unlike anything Remedy had produced up until this point, a supernatural open-world Metroidvania-style multiplaform game. I freaking loved it. Now, Remedy is celebrating the one year anniversary of the game’s release with this video full of fan submissions. Enjoy!
If you haven’t picked up Control yet, the best is yet to come. Control: Ultimate Edition (which includes all of the game’s premium DLC expansions) is out now for PC on Steam. You’ll be able to get the Xbox One and PS4 version on September 10th, 2020.

Fire up your Pokémon Go app right now and you will find a whole new set of Research tasks. The goal…to unlock the power of Mega Evolution! First revealed in Generation 6, Mega Evolution is a temporary boost a trainer can use on a compatible Pokémon during trainer battles.
Right now we are still working through the tasks so we can’t comment on how this is playing firsthand but you can be sure we will keep you posted.
Pokémon Go is out now for Android and iOS Smart Devices.

Gamescom 2020 may have been cancelled but the event is still happening in spirit. Do you want to see the newest gameplay trailer for the latest Star Wars game? Of course you do. Star Wars Squadrons is set after the events of Return of the Jedi and tells the story of the fledgling New Republic. You can play as a member of Rogue Squadron or you play as a TIE Fighter pilot for the Imperial Remnant. Check it out!
Star Wars Squadrons is coming October 2020 to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It is going to support VR on PS4 and PC.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles was a game ahead of its time. It revolutionized what you could do with a cooperative multiplayer game and pushed the GameCube to its limit. Now, it’s out in HD and many of us can finally play it. Here’s the official launch trailer.
Can’t decide what platform you want to play it on? Get it on all of them. The game supports cross-platform online multiplayer.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remaster is out now for Nintendo Switch, PS4, as well as Android and iOS Smart Devices.

We are less than a week away from the scheduled release of Marvel’s Avengers on multiple platforms and the fine folks at Square Enix and Marvel have just released this impressive CGI teaser for the game. I don’t know if the intention is to air this as a television commercial but I would be totally okay if they did.
