No one can deny the continuing endurance of the music from the Final Fantasy franchise. At CT GamerCon 2018, a cappella group PXL8 performed a series of songs from various games with no musical accompaniment. Here’s PXL8 performing the battle theme to Final Fantasy VII.

We got a brief how-to video for you guys today. If you’re a Nintendo 3DS or 2DS owner, there’s no reason for you to miss out on the Pokémon Sun and Moon special demo version. It features story content and missions not available in the full version of either Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon and you can earn special items and an exclusive Pokémon that can be transferred to the full version of the game.

Welcome back to Maniac’s Kitchen, where we cook or review all kinds of food for gamers. This week, Maniac got some take-out food from McDonald’s, and today we’re going to be looking at Szechuan Sauce. It was originally created to promote Disney’s Mulan, but there’s been a high demand to bring it back after the start of Rick and Morty season three. An earlier attempt to do a smaller promotion for it failed miserably, but now it has a wider release and we got our hands on some earlier today.
Is it as good as Rick says it is? Let’s find out.

TCGs are everywhere, from Pokémon to Magic: The Gathering, but did you know there was an Aliens Vs Predator TCG in the early 2000s? It’s true. In fact, the game even received an expansion based on the film Alien Resurrection.
However, even if you could track down leftover boxes of Alien Vs Predator card packs, you will discover there were six cards made for the expansion that aren’t included in any box or any pack. These were prototype cards initially made before the expansion was mass produced. The cards were given out through various promotional means, and Maniac got his hands on every single one of them.
Let’s take a closer look at these six cards, and let Maniac tell you how he got them all in glorious 4K.

Since the release of the Wii, Nintendo has offered internet access by WiFi for their new game consoles. This was at the expense of offering a wired Ethernet port, something that Sony’s and Microsoft’s game consoles still include.
While less convenient, wired connections are faster than wireless ones, and for long time multiplayer gamers like myself nothing beats a local match. In fact, wired LAN connections are required for consoles playing in an accredited professional tournament for a game like Pokken Tournament.
Let’s take a closer look at this thing shall we… in glorious 4K!
The adapter may look old and its manual may have been printed for the Wii console, but Nintendo assures all customers it will natively support the Nintendo Wii, the Wii U and even the Nintendo Switch Dock.
The adapter is not sold in stores, and the best option consumers have to get a first-party product is to buy it directly from Nintendo. If you live in the US or Canada you can get it here.
FAIL: Comcast Won’t Broadcast the 2018 Winter Olympics in 4K February 13, 2018

We’ve occasionally strived to offer 4K content on this website at our own expense, which is more than Comcast has done for their customers for this year’s Olympics. Welcome back to FAIL, an unscripted series where we talk about the biggest blunders in film and television. This week marks the return of the Winter Olympics, where the best athletes across the world will get together to compete in a wide range of winter sports.
4KTVs/UHDTVs have received an incredible installation base over the past year, despite the lack of readily available UHD-capable devices and content. At this year’s Winter Olympics, Sony provided 4K-capable broadcast television cameras. In the US, Comcast/Universal has exclusive television rights to broadcast the Olympics, and has been airing them on their various NBC owned channels. The problem is, Comcast, by its own admission, does not have a cable service capable of 4K, despite being one of the most successful companies in the world. That means most of the US will not be able to watch the Olympics in 4K, even if they own a 4K television. Why not?
How to Properly Connect Nintendo Switch Joy Con Controllers To Wrist Straps January 30, 2018

While many people enjoy playing the Nintendo Switch with their Joy Con Controllers attached to the console while it is in tablet mode, certain games like Super Mario Odyssey take advantage of Joy Con features which can only be used when the Joy Cons are operating independently. Also, you’ll need to separate the Joy Cons when playing two-player modes.
While independent from the console, it’s a good idea to attach your Joy Cons to their provided wrist strap accessories. This will protect the Joy Con’s connection rail and enable players to use the controller’s shoulder buttons. The issue is, first time users can sometimes have problems properly orienting their Joy Cons when attaching or unattaching these straps, and inserting them incorrectly can damage or break the controller.
So here’s a detailed video on how to properly attach your Joy Con controller to a wrist strap.

We love the Nintendo Switch and have been using it nearly non stop since Christmas. In fact, one of the best multiplayer games we’ve been using on the console is Splatoon 2. To tie in with the game, Nintendo has produced this special Neon Pink/Neon Green Joy Con set for a limited run. We can always use an extra controller, so why not pick up these while they’re on sale? The best part is this unboxing video was shot in glorious 4K.
