Rockstar Energy Drink has revealed a huge cross promotional event with Microsoft this month. They will be providing in-game codes for various Gears 5 exclusive items in specially marked cans of Rockstar Energy Drink. If you need to know what to look for, watch this.

To this date I haven’t seen any Gears 5 marked cans in my local supermarkets but certain retailers including Walmart and Circle K have promised extra codes will be added to sales receipts.

You can redeem your tab and receipt codes on this website. Just be aware you’ll need to sign up on the REG site with a valid email address to earn codes and have an active Xbox Live account to redeem them.

Gears 5 is out now for PC and Xbox One.

A major system update was just released to the Nintendo Switch and you need to download it right now. Update 9.0.0 includes, on top of the usual bug fixes, a much needed feature to the News menu that allows users to manually search for games to follow. Players will need to install the update in order to keep their systems connected to the Nintendo Network.

News search has been needed for some time as before this point, users could only select the games they wanted to read news about from a menu that got longer with every new game announced.

Those who long for the classic days of bringing your Game Boy Advance over to your GameCube owning friend’s house to play a multiplayer game with link cables are going to be very happy. At TGS 2019, Square Enix has just revealed one of the original games that took advantage of that incredible feature is getting rereleased on modern consoles and now we have its official release date. Check out the new trailer!

Decisions, decisions. Do I get the Switch version out of the loyalty to the original Nintendo GameCube release or do I get the PS4 version due to the fact all the other Final Fantasy games came out for that platform?

As promised in the recent Nintendo Direct, Nintendo has brought an incredible amount of Super Nintendo games onto the Nintendo Switch! Which games are up right now? Here’s just a few!

  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • Super Mario World
  • Super Mario Kart
  • F-Zero
  • Super Metroid
  • Star Fox
  • Pilotwings
  • Yoshi’s Island
  • Kirby’s Dream Land 3
  • Super Ghouls and Ghosts
  • Earth Defense Force
  • Stunt Race
  • Super Soccer

Seems like a good smattering of some of the best games from the system’s library mixed with a few lesser known titles. A few games are missing from that list, like Star Fox 2, that had previously appeared in the Super Nintendo Classic, but new Super Nintendo games could get unlocked on the platform every month!

To play these games you must have an active Nintendo Network account, which is currently priced at $20 US a year. You can download the Super Nintendo app on the Nintendo Switch eShop at no charge.
