It looks like LABO is going to be Nintendo’s next step for world domination. Combining the capabilities of the Switch with creativity of DIY papercraft, there may be nothing holding back players from creating anything from their imaginations.

Nintendo LABO is coming April 2018 exclusively to the Nintendo Switch.

Final Fantasy XV PC Release Date January 16, 2018

We’ve known for some time that Final Fantasy XV would get a PC release, but information about exactly when it was coming was not available. Today, Square Enix has announced exactly when Final Fantasy XV will launch on PC.

The PC version will include all the main content from the original game, everything in the Season Pass, and everything from the newly announced Royal Edition. It will support 4K and HDR monitors (if the user has a compatible system).

Final Fantasy XV is out now on Xbox One and PS4. It is coming March 6th, 2018 to PC. You’ll be able to get it through Steam.

Pokemon: Detective Pikachu FINALLY Coming to the West January 12, 2018

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu was first announced as a new type of Pokémon game. In it, you play a young detective who works with a unique talking Pikachu to solve crimes. This game was a very big deal, as there’s been talk a live-action movie based on the game is in the works starring Danny DeVito as the Pikachu. However, the game was restricted to a Japan-only release and with the amount of dialog in the game, it was unlikely the game would get an international release. Earlier today, The Pokémon Company released this trailer, enjoy!

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Open Beta Announced January 12, 2018

Square Enix has just announced an open beta for the upcoming fighting game Dissidia Final Fantasy NT on the PS4! Here’s the official announcement trailer.

The official times for the beta are as follows:

• From Friday, January 12 @ 6:00 AM PST to Monday, January 15 @ 1:00 PM PST
• From Monday, January 15 @ 2:00 PM PST to Thursday, January 18 @ 1:00 PM PST
• From Thursday, January 18 @ 2:00 PM PST to Sunday, January 21 @ 1:00 PM PST

This is fantastic news and this beta looks like it’ll be a lot of fun. We had a blast playing this game at E3 2017 and it’ll be great getting back into it a few weeks before the game officially ships. Give it a download as soon as you can!

Cycle Across Kanto – New Kickstarter Documentary Enters Final Days January 9, 2018

I felt the very first Pokémon game was so well designed, it had to be based on a real place, and it turns out I was right. The very first region players explored, now referred to as Kanto, actually exists in Japan. Now, a bunch of filmmakers from the YouTube Channel Good Blood are planning to do something about it! Here’s their official trailer:

That’s right, a group of professional filmmakers and athletes plan to cycle all the way across Kanto! I’m an enormous fan of travelogues, nature documentaries, History Channel, and Behind the Scenes looks at the gaming industry. This project seems like it was tailored just for me! If you’re interested in supporting the project, you can back it on their official Kickstarter as it is entering the final two weeks of funding!

Any child who played the original Pokémon games back in the day found a deeply fleshed out game world they could explore on their Game Boy handheld. It’s in-game economy, social hierarchy, and government closely reflected the real world, making the game’s story truly inspiring. Who doesn’t love Ramen? Like most gamers, we love Ramen Noodles over here, and have I got some great news to share with my fellow ramen eaters! Over the past few years, Square Enix has partnered with Nissin foods, makers of Cup Noodles, to cross promote Cup Noodles with their recent and upcoming Final Fantasy games.

Now, in anticipation of the release of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT later this month, Nissin is offering exclusive DLC to players who buy specially marked Cup Noodles. You can visit this website to read all the details of the promotion! Don’t forget to save your sales receipt!

We’ll be taking a closer look at Cup Noodles later this week. I’m sure I don’t need to remind Final Fantasy XV players that the Cup Noodles hat is downloadable for free right now from the Xbox One and PS4 digital marketplaces.

iOS 11.2.2 Released January 8, 2018

Apple has released a major security update for iOS 11 devices. The new update, iOS 11.2.2 includes fixes to the extreme processor vulnerability that has recently hit the web. Make sure to download it as soon as possible.

Pokemon Crystal for Nintendo 3DS Release Date December 14, 2017

A few months ago, Nintendo released the original Generation 2 Pokémon games, Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver, on the Nintendo 3DS’s Virtual Console service. Since then, a lot of people have been wondering why the third game from that generation, Pokémon Crystal, was not released with it. Pokémon Crystal had several features not found in Gold or Silver including animated sprites in battle and the option of playing as a female trainer. Well, I’ve got some great news for people who have wanted to play Pokémon Crystal on a modern system.

Today, Nintendo has announced they will be re-releasing Pokémon Crystal, arguably the best game of that generation, on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console. Here’s the official announcement trailer.

Pokémon Crystal is already out on the Nintendo Game Boy Color. It will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console on January 26, 2018.

The Last of Us Part II – PSX 2017 Panel December 10, 2017

No game coming out for the PS4 is more anticipated than The Last of Us Part II from Naughty Dog. At this year’s PlayStation Experience, the two lead actors of the original game (Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson) are joined by three all-new cast members along with the game’s writer and director. They’re going to sit down with host Hannah Hart as she tries to get them to spill as much information about the game as she can. Sit back, relax, and prepare to rock.
