After having such a great time attending last year’s Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire, we decided to attend this year’s event! We got a whole new story, saw some new performers (as well as some old favorites), and enjoyed every bit of it!

Since he first heard about it in 2014, Maniac was interested in participating in Free RPG Day. A few weekends ago, he finally got the chance to check it out and see what it was all about when he visited Your Friendly Neighborhood Tabletop Shop in Connecticut.
So join us as Maniac tells his story about what happened to him at the event, and his very first experience playing a Pen-and-Paper RPG.

Legendary Pokemon Shaymin Distribution Begins Today July 1, 2016

The Pokémon news just keeps coming in today. The mythical Pokémon Shaymin, who you might remember from the 4th Generation games Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, is being distributed for free online starting today.
To get Shaymin, just connect your 3DS system to the Internet, load up any sixth generation Pokémon game and select Mystery Gift from the main menu before loading your save. Choose to get a gift from the Internet, and then just wait as Shaymin downloads to your system. Once you have it, you can get Shaymin from the mail lady in any Pokémon Center.
Get Shaymin now because it is only going to be distributed until July 24th!
Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are out now for the Nintendo 3DS.
More Pokemon Revealed in New Sun and Moon Trailer July 1, 2016

Today marks the beginning of Pokémon Nationals here in the US, and Nintendo has released a new trailer for Pokémon Sun and Moon showing off some new Pokémon species…and confirming the new forms of the legendary Pokémon Zygarde will be featured in these games.
Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are coming November 2016 exclusively for Nintendo 3DS.
Pokemon National Championships 2016 All Weekend July 1, 2016

The best Pokémon Trainers across the US and Canada are meeting in Columbus, OH this weekend to battle in the Pokémon Video Game, Trading Card Game (TCG) and Pokkén Tournament to try and see who is the very best like no one ever was.
If you aren’t able to attend the events in person, The Pokémon Company are going to stream the events live on Twitch.tv all weekend.
You can watch the Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire Video Game Tournament here. The TCG Tournament is currently being broadcast on the main Pokemon Twitch Channel, and you can check out the Pokkén Tournament battles here.

IGN has just released the second part of their ongoing documentary on the development of Final Fantasy XV. This episode focuses on what goes into developing the game’s story.
I’ve been looking forward to this release for a while because I was a big fan of their first episode, and I can’t wait to see the next one.
Final Fantasy XV is coming September 2016 to Xbox One and PS4.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Patch 1.08 Released June 29, 2016

A major multiplayer update, version 1.08, was just released for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End on the PS4. The new patch adds compatibility with upcoming DLC releases and adds tons of new multiplayer content. The new patch weighs in at slightly over 1.3GB.

An all new free expansion for Halo 5: Guardians has just been released, and it adds the highly anticipated Warzone Firefight gamemode alongside new multiplayer content, REQ packs and a lot more!
If that isn’t enough gameplay for you, here is the expansion’s official live preview stream in its entirety.
If you previously had all of the recent Halo 5: Guardians updates, this update should weigh in at around 7GB. Time to free up some hard drive space or if you’re like me, move some of your game content to an external drive.
