Japan Travel Tips – Sarah Spaceman Gives Her Japanese Travel Tips September 22, 2026

It’s Tuesday, and it has been a very long time since we last posted Japan Travel Tips! If you’re new to this series, we highlight some of the best independently produced videos on the subject of traveling to the Land of the Rising Sun. Imagine my surprise to discover that one of my favorite YouTube content creators decided to publish their own video on the subject today, and we just had to feature it in our ongoing series.

Today we’re going to feature the work of cosplay enthusiast and judge Sarah Spaceman, who I can’t tell for sure if her last name is pronounced “Space-Man” or “Spich-hemin”. My wife and I regularly watch her videos on cosplay, anime conventions, and even renaissance faires and we are both big fans of hers. Today, she posted a video on her Honeymoon to Japan, and given the timing, I decided to bring back this series just so we could feature it! Enjoy!

Some tips she gave in the video that we’d like to highlight:

• Don’t travel with Delta!
• Make sure to add a transit card to your Apple Wallet
• Be ready for customs in advance by filling out your custom forms prior to arrival.
• Make sure to read bathroom instructions, as it can be difficult to find consistency in where the flush button is located.
• Jet Lag is no joke
