Thursday, Netflix premiered the first video preview of Grand Theft Auto VI for the whole world to see. Shortly after that premiere took place, Rockstar Games published the preview on their official YouTube Channel in glorious 4K.
In this twenty-six minute preview, we get to look at two major in-game missions, alongside glimpses of various side hustles you can accomplish throughout the game. If you missed the initial Netflix reveal, you can give the video a watch below:
I must admit, seeing such a lived-in interactive open world puts a smile on my face. It has been a while since I’ve seen such an unapologetic triple-a budget game come out, so this does appear to give a breath of fresh air in a market currently betting big on playing it safe. The two-playable character dynamic also brings in a new series of gameplay choices that we haven’t seen before in earlier GTA games. Environment interactivity seems to also be in full effect here. You can certainly go parachute jumping off a building, but I was more interested in the fact that watchable televisions (which I remember from GTA4) are back too.
Grand Theft Auto VI is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S November, 2026.
