The two cult-favorite Xbox 360 RPGs Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey are now fully backwards compatible with the Xbox One console. That means players who have the games on retail disc can just pop their discs into their Xbox One drive to play, and digital owners will immediately be able to find the games for download in their Xbox One’s digital library.
To celebrate Microsoft is offering Lost Odyssey for free purchase on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles. Seriously, you can get the full game for free right now regardless of if you have an Xbox Live Gold account.
Lost Odyssey will remain free on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One until December 31st. Once you got it, it will remain on your account even after the free purchase period ends. Get it now, because if you don’t get it before it becomes free you’ll have to pay for it if you want it later. Don’t worry, purchases on the Xbox 360 will carry over to the Xbox One.
Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon are out now exclusively on the Xbox One.
