Posted by Maniac in Game News, Site News.

I’ve got big news for you guys.  We’re a month away from the Xbox One release of Halo 5: Guardians, making 2015 one of the biggest years in Halo history. Because of that, Maniac and diskreader117 decided to team up to talk about Halo‘s impact over the past year. It turns out there was a lot of Halo to go around, we ended up discussing more than just what our expectations were for Halo 5, we also talked about Halo: The Master Chief Collection‘s state one year after it was released, the release of Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike on iOS, Halo Nightfall, the upcoming Halo TV series, Halo Wars 2, and a lot more. In fact, we talked so much we’re going to release this conversation over the course of a whole week, and because of that we are officially dubbing this week The Week of Halo on!

To kick this all off, we’re going to break some big Halo 5: Guardians news. Earlier this month, Microsoft released the opening cinematic for Halo 5, where it detailed Spartan Locke and his team going into battle. However, Locke’s team is only half of the story of Halo 5, you’ll also be playing as series hero Master Chief, and he has a team of his own. Here’s the official opening cinematic for Blue Team.

Halo 5: Guardians is coming October 2015 exclusively on the Xbox One.
