Settle in everyone, tonight is another Apple update evening. Apple has just released an incremental update for all of their devices earlier today. The new update, version 18.6, is not bringing the features Apple previewed at WWDC earlier this year, but instead fixes an important issue with the Photos application.

The new update, depending on your device, can weigh in around a gig of space. Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Vision Pro have also gotten updates as well, so if you own anything made by Apple you should give it a check before the end of the night!

A special one hour “sneak preview” of the documentary has been confirmed to premiere during this year’s Quakecon! If you’re going to be at the event it will be featured at the main stage on Saturday at 4:30PM. Here’s the official trailer!

Oh and did I mention that I AM IN THIS DOCUMENTARY? Well, I am. The full version of the documentary is expected to get released online at the end of August. Can’t wait to see it!

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Theatrical Trailer July 24, 2025

My wife and sister-in-law would not forgive me if I neglected to mention this piece of gaming news. When the original Five Nights at Freddy’s film hit theaters it was a surprising success, both commercially and critically. Based on the games by Scott Cawthorne, the film succeeded in adapting the source material for the film medium, and provided plenty of chills and scares. Heck, I remembered sitting down with my family and a giant tub of popcorn watching the film’s premiere on Peacock and the three of us ended up enjoying it quite a bit.

Now, Universal Studios has officially released the first major trailer for the next film, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, which is due to hit theaters later this year. Give it a watch below!

Oh and Matthew Lillard better have a bigger role in this one! I’m a big fan of his.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is coming to theaters December 5th, 2025.

Gaming History You Should Know – History of The Legend of Zelda Animated Series July 13, 2025

Welcome back to another Gaming History You Should Know, where we highlight some of the best independently produced documentaries on gaming history and culture! During Nintendo’s heyday in the late 80s, the Super Mario Bros Super Show was a weekday broadcast staple. Each episode would feature a live-action segment featuring Mario and Luigi responding to some comical hi-jinx while doing plumbing work in Brooklyn, NY. These live-action segments would bookend an animated episode of the Mario Bros adventures in the Mushroom Kingdom against the evil King Koopa! At least, that’s what it would be like on Mondays through Thursdays, Fridays were set aside for a special Legend of Zelda animated episode!

I remember The Legend of Zelda’s episodes were on a whole different level than the Super Mario Bros episodes. In fact, the show was of such good quality, I remember my parents bought me a VHS tape of one of the episodes for Christmas one year.

So what was the inspiration behind this show? Why did it get made and how did Nintendo approve it? The YouTube Channel Game Nerd Legacy did a fantastic documentary about the show, its history and legacy. If you were interested in the show, or watched it back in the day and were curious how it came about, give it a watch below!

To this day, this animated show remains the only officially licensed adaptation of The Legend of Zelda, but fear not, Sony has confirmed a film adaptation is currently in pre-production!

The Last of Us Part II Remastered Adds Chronological Game Mode July 9, 2025

The story of The Last of Us Part II is told in fragments, with different events taking place at different times. However, it succeeded in keeping its story structure by focusing on its core characters first before showing the perspectives of the other people involved.

Yesterday, Naughty Dog released a patch for the PS5 and PC which finally allows players to play through the game’s single-player campaign in the chronological order of events. It’s not a huge patch, at least not on the PS5, weighing in around 750MB. If you haven’t played the game in a while, or want to replay it in a whole new way, I think you should give it a shot!

The Last of Us Part II Remastered is out now for PC and PS5.

Stop Killing Games Surpasses 1.25 Million Signatures for their EU Petition July 9, 2025

Ross Scott has announced that the petition they filed in the European Union on behalf of his Stop Killing Games organization has surpassed 1.25 Million Signatures!

This is incredible news I never thought I would be fortunate enough to write about. The ongoing Sword of Damocles publishers and developers have forced into their games over the past twenty years has been the literal definition of anti-consumer practices, but without updated laws to cover software, these practices have continued without intervention for years. This petition will force the politicians of an entire continent to be made aware of these anti-consumer practices, and make their opinions on the matter known.

If you are living in a country that is part of the European Union and still want to check out the petition, you can find all the details about it here.

Anime Expo was this past weekend, and a lot of major news was announced to follow up with promises made late last year. However, during the Cyberpunk panel, we got an ENORMOUS surprise that nobody was expecting.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners season 2 will feature a new crew taking place after the events of the first season. Netflix has already confirmed they will be carrying the season when it releases, but we have no further details about any other organization offering it. Currently the second season has no release date.
