When I first purchased a Nintendo Wii, a friend of mine would not let me leave the store without picking up a copy of the original No More Heroes. Since then, the franchise has soldiered on…but only on Nintendo platforms. Now, No More Heroes 3, which previously was a Nintendo Switch exclusive, is now out on multiple platforms. Let’s take a look at the launch trailer!

No More Heroes 3 is out now for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

An important update has just been released for the iPhone and Apple Watch earlier today. It brings bug fixes and improvements for iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users. The new Apple Watch update also improves syncing issues for apps including Wallet.

The update is quite large on the iPhone weighing in at 1.36GB. The Apple Watch update is much smaller, at 126MB.

There doesn’t seem to be an update for the Apple TV, iPad or Mac at this time. I will do another post if that changes.

We’ve been hard at work replicating a classic 90s arcade experience here at GameXcess.net, and you can’t replicate a 90s arcade without the most iconic arcade cabinet of the time, the Neo-Geo.

Neo-Geo was an arcade and home console platform developed by SNK. By modern standards the Neo-Geo was an arcade console. At arcades, multi-game cabinets were common which offered players the chance to cycle through anywhere from two to six games at any time. Arcade owners who offered Neo-Geo machines could find themselves with the opportunity to easily swap new games without having to replace the entire cabinet. In total, one-hundred forty-three games were offered throughout the platform’s lifespan.

Now, UNICO is offering a bartop-sized Neo-Geo arcade machine preloaded with fifty classic games including Metal Slug, Fatal Fury and Shock Troopers. How does it look?

We filmed this in 4K HDR but due to some issues we encountered while editing we decided to release the edited video in 1080p. Hope you all enjoyed.

EA shocked everyone when they released this new look into the upcoming remake of Dead Space. As someone who fondly remembers the original 2008 game I must admit it was exciting to see all these recognizable moments looking even better than they did back in the day. Time to start screaming.

Damn I must admit that looks really good. We’ll see how the final product holds up.

Dead Space coming January 2023 to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is coming October 20th, 2022 exclusively to the Nintendo Switch.

Stadia is Dead September 29, 2022

This official statement has just been posted on the official Google Blog. They are ending Stadia support in January 2023. Google says they will refund all hardware purchases made through the Google Store.

I have to admit, this is disappointing but hardly unsurprising news. In my opinion, a streaming game service will only be a good consumer option if sold exclusively on a subscription basis. That way, in the event the service ceases, the user will simply stop being charged their monthly subscription fee. Stadia sold entire games at full retail price through their service. That means those full priced games can no longer function in any way once Stadia is shut down. Meanwhile, anyone who bought a copy of the same game at the same price on a different platform or online service will still be able to play. This is the fear most users had when Google announced Stadia. Their fears were clearly merited.

As someone who was an initial adopter of Stadia, I’m assuming the Google Chromecast Ultra I got with my package will still continue to function. I’m also assuming the Stadia controller will continue to function as a PC gaming controller if connected over its USB cable.
