Final Fantasy II Free on iOS and Android Through Final Fantasy Portal App February 4, 2016
Posted by Maniac in Game News.add a comment
We recorded nearly three hours for a live stream of Final Fantasy VII, so while you wait for us to finish processing that, here’s a free game to tide you all over. If you call yourself a Final Fantasy fan and have a iOS or Android SmartPhone/Tablet you owe it to yourself to download the Final Fantasy Portal App. It’s a great free program that keeps fans up to date with the latest Final Fantasy news, bundled with a fun Triple Triad free-to-play app.
Well, to celebrate the one year anniversary of the app’s launch in Japan, Square Enix is giving away the cult classic Final Fantasy II through the app for a VERY brief time. To get it, download the latest version of the app to your Android or iOS device using your device’s respective App Store, and select Final Fantasy II from the App’s side menu.
You won’t need a Square Enix account to download Final Fantasy II, but you will need an iTunes or Google Account (depending on your device).
If you don’t have a SmartPhone, don’t worry, Final Fantasy Portal App will work on Tablets like the iPad just fine.
Quantum Break: Zero State Novel Announced February 4, 2016

Literature fans looking for a great story can rejoice. Remedy has announced a companion novel for the Xbox One exclusive game Quantum Break will be released on the same day as the game, April 5th, 2016.
The book is titled Quantum Break: Zero State and has been described as a novel that combines the action of a Jason Bourne book with the fantastic nature of time travel. Sadly, any further inquiries I’ve made about the book were not returned, so it’s unclear if this book will be a retelling of the game, a prequel story, or a sequel to the game. I guess we will just have to wait to find out.
Quantum Break is coming April 5th, 2016 exclusively to the Xbox One.

Racing fans with tight finances can rejoice. EA has decided that they’re going to be offering a newer Need for Speed title free of charge, and that game is Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
To get the game, you will need an Origin account and the Origin client, but both can be obtained completely free of charge here.
As with all games offered through Origin On The House, once the game is purchased, it will remain perminantly tied to your Origin account and can be redownloaded at any time.
Xbox One Quantum Break Commercial February 2, 2016

Since it was first announced during the Xbox One’s reveal, there has been no Xbox One exclusive title I’ve been anticipating more than Remedy’s Quantum Break.
Since E3 2015, Microsoft has been proclaiming that their console will offer the best exclusive titles and to show that to consumers, they created a commercial featuring several games which will be exclusive to the Xbox One including Halo 5, the new Tomb Raider, and Gears of War.
This weekend, Microsoft aired a similar commercial during the Aspen X Games, but this commercial featured a new game we hadn’t seen on TV before. It was given a very prominent rotation during the event (and reaired frequently), to the point it caught the attention of actor Shawn Ashmore, who seemed as surprised as I was to see it. Give it a watch.
Quantum Break is coming April 2016 exclusively on the Xbox One. Gears of War 4 is coming Holiday 2016 exclusively to Xbox One. Halo 5: Guardians is out now exclusively on Xbox One. Rise of the Tomb Raider is out now on PC and Xbox One.

For the first time in nearly fifteen years, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are offering the exclusive legendary Pokémon Mew free until the 24th of the month.
To obtain your own Mew in the US, you’ll need to obtain a download code from your local GameStop. Don’t worry, they’ll be given out free of charge. You can then redeem the Mew code by selecting “Redeem an Online Code” from any sixth generation game’s Gift Menu.
Mew codes can be redeemed as a gift in any copy of Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and Pokémon Omega Ruby. All of those games are out now exclusively for Nintendo 3DS systems.
Fallout 4 Nuka Cola Bottle Opener Unboxing January 30, 2016

Fallout 4 is on shelves and Maniac shares an impromptu unboxing he recorded of a GameStop Exclusive Collector’s Item, a Nuka Cola Bottle Opener.
Fallout fans will remember Nuka Cola is the preferred fictional beverage of the Fallout universe, and to promote the release of Fallout 4, Bethesda created some real bottle openers emblazoned with the fictional beverage’s iconic vending machine.
Sadly, we don’t have any bottles of Nuka Cola here, but we have plenty of bottles of Bawls, which long-standing Fallout fans might remember served as the official in-game beverage of Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.
Fallout 4 is out now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Bawls Memories January 29, 2016

Continuing with our ongoing coverage of everything related to the amazingly caffeinated beverage Bawls, Maniac thinks back to his first memories of the beverage, and how it became such an integral part of his life.
Since Bawls were kind enough to send us a case of soda, this can be considered a sponsored video, however Maniac would like to stress he was planning to do this video anyway. Enjoy!
We Have Bawls January 28, 2016

We’d like to announce that we are setting aside some of our normal programming to announce this website’s very first direct sponsor, Bawls!
We’ve been spreading the word about Bawls on this website for years now. It was pretty ahead of its time, a high caffeinated soda that actually tastes great. It has a cult following amongst PC Gamers, mostly because it would commonly be sold at stores like CompUSA, which is where I first got my hands on some.
So, lo and behold, the makers of Bawls got wind of our support and sent us a case of Bawls! Take a look!
This is the weekend of X Games Aspen 2016 and I can’t think of anything I’d rather drink during this year’s Halo 5 tournament. Thank you again to Bawls and all of you for your support. More Bawls content will be coming this week, at least until the Bawls run out!
