Xbox One X owners will be very happy to find out two games that will be capable of native 4K gameplay today.  Quantum Break and Halo 5: Guardians are getting free enhancement patches to improve their gameplay and make them native 4K compatible when played on a 4KTV with the Xbox One X console.

The two new enhanced games will join other Xbox One titles like Titanfall 2 and Diablo III which already have Xbox One X enhancements.  Players will be able to download those patches for free on a case by case basis as they are released. However, you might want to have a Coke while you’re waiting for the games to patch, early estimates are saying the required download size for each patch is high, although we haven’t been able to independently verify that yet.

Remember, this is just a small list of games that will be enhanced with native 4K features today, all Xbox One games will play in 4K on the Xbox One X, and more games like Final Fantasy XV will be enhanced as time goes on.

Sony has released a deluge of incredible new PS4 game trailers to celebrate Paris Games Week 2017 and we’ve got the biggest trailers for the most important upcoming games right now.

Back in 2013, Naughty Dog released The Last of Us on the PS3.  Not only was the game a critical and commercial success, its unique story, polished gameplay, distinct art style and oscar caliber voice acting has put it on the sort list of one of the greatest games ever made.  Late last year, Sony announced they were making a sequel. Since then, very little information about the game has been shown.  Today, that lapse in information comes to an end.  Please enjoy.

The Last of Us Part II is coming exclusively to the PS4.

What Original Xbox Games Will Work on the Xbox One October 23, 2017

Earlier in the year, Microsoft made the epic announcement that a select amount of games from the original Xbox console would be made playable on the Xbox One using an all new Backwards Compatibility feature.  Today, I’m happy to announce that feature is going to be activated very soon and here’s the official list of games you’ll be able to play on the Xbox One console.

  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
  • Crimson Skies: High Road To Revenge
  • Ninja Gaiden Black
  • Fusion Frenzy
  • Black
  • Psychonauts
  • Dead to Rights
  • BloodRayne 2
  • Red Faction II
  • Sid Meier’s Pirates!
  • Grabbed by the Ghoulies
  • The King of Fighters Neowave
  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

It’s a little sad the original Halo or Halo 2 isn’t on the list but I’m sure they’re still under consideration. Players will be able to play these games on the Xbox One using either the original game discs or they can purchase the games digitally on the Xbox Store. Why upgrade?  Well, Microsoft made this video comparison showing the difference between how Knights of the Old Republic plays on the Xbox One S vs how it looked on the original Xbox.

System Link in each game will work fine with any other consoles the game is backwards compatible with, however Xbox Live functionality on those games were discontinued back in 2010 and because of that you won’t be able to play the games online.
