Battlefield 1 Premium Pass Free This Week September 12, 2018
Posted by Maniac in Game News.add a comment
I’m not much of a fan of the Battlefield games but I’m also not one to pass on a freebie. EA is offering the unbearably overpriced (It’s usually $49) Battlefield 1 Premium Pass for free this week. That means that some time between now and the next six days you can get the Pass and all the content that goes with it free of charge on your respective digital marketplaces. That essentially turns any normal version of the game into the premium edition at no extra charge.
The free pass works on both digital and retail copies of the game. To get it, you’ll just need to find the pass on your game platform’s respective digital marketplace (Origin, PlayStation Store, Xbox Marketplace) and buy it as you normally would. The only difference is the price for the Pass should be listed as $0.00 or Free. Do not buy it if it doesn’t say it’s free after the offer expires.
Battlefield 1 is out now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Sorry we haven’t been posting much on the site as of late. That’s due to the fact that we’ve been playing Spider-Man on the PS4 as much as possible. Earlier today, Sony released this new featurette on the making of the game, focused on the villains that make up the game’s Sinister Six. No spoilers yet, but Insomniac is intentionally keeping one major villain under wraps.
We do plan to reveal who the mystery villain is when we do our unboxing of the game’s Collector’s Edition later this week. Check it out, we will do it in glorious 4K.
Spider-Man is out now exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Announced September 10, 2018

One of the most unique and iconic Final Fantasy games in the history of the franchise as Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Originally made for the Nintendo GameCube, the game allowed for four player local multiplayer if each player used their own Game Boy Advance as a controller. I have to admit, never picking up this game back in the day was a big regret of mine. I could not have been happier to see this trailer get released earlier today.
I have to admit when I first saw this announcement the only thing going through my head were the words, “Yes yes yes yes yes!”
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered is coming to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in 2019z

Spider-Man PS4 Launch Night September 7, 2018
Posted by Maniac in Game News.add a comment
The clock has struck midnight here in the US and that means we will FINALLY be able to play Spider-Man on the PS4. Sony and Insomniac have pulled out all the stops for tonight’s festivities. We had a midnight launch show, new commercials and more. First off, here’s an extended commercial for all of you. For some reason this aired during tonight’s NFL game. Since not a single gamer I know is even remotely interested in professional sports I thought bot would be a good idea to share it with you here.
And here is the archived version of the entire midnight release show. It features new content, interviews, behind the scenes commentary and a few surprises. You can watch it here.
If you wanted to see certain segments from the launch event you might have missed, Sony is currently in the process of uploading them. Here’s the interview about the game’s music.
Unfortunately at this time Sony Pictures have not posted their inside look at the upcoming animated Sony film, Into the Spider-Verse. We reached out to Sony Pictures to rectify this and will report back if we get a response. iPhone owners can currently obtain the Spider-Man sticker pack from the App Store, but unlike every other previous PlayStation sticker pack that was free, Marvel is charging $2.99 for the Spider-Man pack.
We might have more news to share as the night goes on so keep your eyes on this post for more content!
Spider-Man is out now exclusively on PS4.

We are two days and two hours away from the release of Spider-Man on the PlayStation 4 and Sony has pulled out all the stops to celebrate the release of the game. Take a look at these commercials!
Sony says they’ll be celebrating the game’s launch with an official live stream starting at 10:30pm Eastern Time Thursday. Visit this link when the time comes for all the details. We are currently having technical issues with the site preventing us from earning any rewards from it. I’ve been reading on Twitter this is happening to many people so hopefully this issue will be resolved before the start of the launch festivities. We reached out to Insomniac for any comment.
UPDATE: Either the site has been fixed or I have a tip for anyone attempting to access the rewards on the countdown site. You must be logged into a PlayStation Network account while browsing the site. If you can’t find the sign-in page you can always sign in at PlayStation.com.
Spider-Man is coming September 7th, 2018 exclusively to the PS4.
How to Get September’s Legendary Pokemon Codes from Best Buy September 4, 2018
Posted by Maniac in Site Videos.add a comment
As we reported previously, this month’s Legendary Pokémon distribution is taking place at Best Buy retail stores across the country. Unlike GameStop stores which are far better suited for these events, it can be very confusing for gamers to get these free codes from a large store. Where do you go, who do you talk to, and what do you do if the person who you’re talking to has no idea what you’re talking about? Maniac went to Best Buy to get answers.
You can read all the details about the Legendary Pokémon promotion here.
