Maniac is frequently asked to fix other people’s broken computers and electronics, including products made by Apple. Typically, when he’s had to reset virus infected computers to their factory defaults, if the computer cannot perform an internet recovery his clients need to provide him the computer’s installation media. He was disheartened to discover that media was lost, and unlike Microsoft, Apple does not offer official downloads of their older computers’ essential system software on their website.
At this point, Maniac realized he needed help that only an Apple Genius can offer. Only two Apple stores currently exist in Maniac’s home state, a state with a population of several million people. Could the Apple Store help him, and how? Watch below and find out!
Detective Pikachu Amiibo Unboxing and Demonstration April 3, 2018

We’ve been talking about Detective Pikachu for the past few days over on this site, and that is because we’ve been having a blast playing it. The game even includes support for a special Detective Pikachu amiibo, which can unlock special videos called “Pika Prompts” that players may have missed in chapters of the game they already completed.
This is no mere amiibo, Detective Pikachu is large and very well designed. Let’s take a closer look at it with an unboxing and show how it works!

CT GamerCon pushed some of our regular video content behind just a bit, but we’ve got something for you today that I’m sure all of you will enjoy, an unboxing. Let’s take a closer look at Detective Pikachu and see what’s in the box!
We have been enjoying this game like crazy since picking it up. It not only captures the spirit of the Pokémon world perfectly, it also is a fantastic send up of classic PC mystery/adventure games.

We had a blast talking to Chris Rio and the whole gang responsible for the adult card game Cheer Up this past weekend at CT GamerCon. Hot on the heels from a successful Kickstarter, Cheer Up is now available at retail and we got to play a hand with its creators. Just be aware, this is an adult game and it features mature content.

No one can deny the continuing endurance of the music from the Final Fantasy franchise. At CT GamerCon 2018, a cappella group PXL8 performed a series of songs from various games with no musical accompaniment. Here’s PXL8 performing the battle theme to Final Fantasy VII.

We got a brief how-to video for you guys today. If you’re a Nintendo 3DS or 2DS owner, there’s no reason for you to miss out on the Pokémon Sun and Moon special demo version. It features story content and missions not available in the full version of either Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon and you can earn special items and an exclusive Pokémon that can be transferred to the full version of the game.

Welcome back to Maniac’s Kitchen, where we cook or review all kinds of food for gamers. This week, Maniac got some take-out food from McDonald’s, and today we’re going to be looking at Szechuan Sauce. It was originally created to promote Disney’s Mulan, but there’s been a high demand to bring it back after the start of Rick and Morty season three. An earlier attempt to do a smaller promotion for it failed miserably, but now it has a wider release and we got our hands on some earlier today.
Is it as good as Rick says it is? Let’s find out.
Maniac’s Collection – Rare Aliens Vs Predator TCG Promo Cards February 22, 2018

TCGs are everywhere, from Pokémon to Magic: The Gathering, but did you know there was an Aliens Vs Predator TCG in the early 2000s? It’s true. In fact, the game even received an expansion based on the film Alien Resurrection.
However, even if you could track down leftover boxes of Alien Vs Predator card packs, you will discover there were six cards made for the expansion that aren’t included in any box or any pack. These were prototype cards initially made before the expansion was mass produced. The cards were given out through various promotional means, and Maniac got his hands on every single one of them.
Let’s take a closer look at these six cards, and let Maniac tell you how he got them all in glorious 4K.
