Guardians of the Galaxy: No Guts, No Glory Novel Released November 2, 2021

It’s a personal delight for me to see a novel released that ties in with a major video game. Since Marvel’s Spider-Man was released on PS4 in 2018, it has become customary for a prequel novel to get released in bookstores all across the country. That tradition was continued for the release of games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Marvel’s Avengers. Today, Titan Books has officially released the prequel novel to the new Square Enix game, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, No Guts, No Glory.

Anyone think I should do a review?

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is out now for PC, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Switch and Xbox Series X/S.

Phantasmagoria 2 Played By Its Lead Actor – Part 2 October 30, 2021

Paul Stetler, who played the lead character Curtis Craig in the cult PC horror game Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh, has been playing the game he starred in 25 years ago for the very first time. Last night was his second attempt to play the game, and it was just fantastic to watch him play.

Since this is his first time playing, he doesn’t know the solutions to all of the game’s puzzles, but he does have tons of insight into what he had to do to make each scene.

If you missed part one you can watch it here. Paul will continue playing the game every Friday at 6PM Eastern (3PM Pacific) until he finishes it. You can check out his channel here. He even plans to get some of the people who worked on the game involved for later episodes!

Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh is out now for the PC.

iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS 15.1 Released October 25, 2021

This is a bit delayed but I wanted to give you all a heads up that Apple has released new software for pretty much all of their personal devices. The iPad, Apple TV, iPhone and even Apple Watch have received major updates today, and you can get them all right now through your device’s software update feature or (in some cases) through iTunes.

The new update includes support for the much anticipated SharePlay feature as well as camera improvements for the iPhone 13 Pro.

Depending on your device, even if you have the previously most recent system software installed, the new update will likely weigh in at around 1.25-1.5GB.

Nintendo Announces Nintendo Network Expansion Price October 15, 2021

Earlier this month, Nintendo announced they would be offering an expansion tier to their Nintendo Network online service for the Switch. In this expansion, Nintendo says they’ll be offering the chance to play preselected N64 and Sega Genesis titles. Today, we now know what the cost of the expansion will be. The total price to access the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games…is $49US a year. A whopping $30 increase over the current plan. Here’s the announcement video.

I’m sorry but that’s just too high a price for me. Especially since Nintendo won’t be offering very many N64 and Genesis games at launch. Maybe if they offered EVERY game ever made on both platforms, the $50 a year price would be justified.
