Sony has announced that they plan to start the Beta Test for their Playstation Now service tomorrow.  The Playstation Now service, first announced alongside the Playstation 4 and detailed in depth at this year’s CES, allows gamers to play earlier generation Playstation games through an online streaming service without any need for a console.  It can be integrated into all currently operational Playstation platforms (including the Vita), tablets, smartphones, and the next generation Bravia HDTV.

If you are interested in participating in the beta, Sony is accepting beta signups here.

Bombshell Announced May 15, 2014

Interceptor Entertainment and 3D Realms have announced today that they are currently developing an all new Action/RPG they are calling Bombshell.  From up close, the game looks like it is the start of an entirely new IP, but those of you who are familiar with Duke Nukem Forever’s development (or saw my retrospective on What Was Cut from Duke Nukem Forever) know that Bombshell was originally designed by 3D Realms during Duke Nukem Forever’s development to be a secondary playable character.  While she never appeared in any form in the final version of that game, it looks like the guys at 3D Realms haven’t forgotten her.

Well, or they wanted to make a new Duke Nukem game, couldn’t, and put Bombshell in it instead.

Interceptor also released this Behind the Scenes video about the game’s development.  In it, they talk about the initial ideas behind the game (which I already wrote about) and the studio’s plans for the future

Bombshell is coming in early 2015.

Nintendo announced they would be remaking their third generation Pokémon games for the Nintendo 3DS earlier this week, but sadly, had no footage to show of the game at all.  This weekend, Nintendo finally released the first official footage of the games.  It’s not very much, but it is great to see how good a game originally designed for the Game Boy Advance will look on the 3DS.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are coming November 2014 exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS.

It turns out that all the teasers and Easter Eggs that players have found in the sixth generation Pokémon games were not a joke. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company has announced today that two new Pokémon games are on the way to the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS. The names may look a little familiar.

That’s right. We’re getting a third generation Pokémon remake for the 3DS!

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are coming November 2014 to the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS.

The biggest release this summer for the Wii U is undoubtably Mario Kart 8, the newest installment in the same franchise which has seen a release for the SNES, N64, GBA, GC and 3DS.

But just what will the game be bringing to the table? Since the game was made playable across the country during last year’s E3, we haven’t seen a lot of new information about the game. Today, that ends. Check out the video below.

Any player who registers the game on Club Nintendo before July 31st, 2014 will get the chance to download a selected game for free through the Wii U Nintendo eShop.

Mario Kart 8 is coming May 30th, 2014 exclusive to the Wii U.
