Destiny Companion Updated For Destiny Launch August 15, 2014

The Destiny Companion Mobile App allowed Destiny players to keep track of their progress from their Smartphones during the game’s Beta. Today, Bungie has updated the app to fix a few bugs and make it compatible with the full version of Destiny when it releases.

You can download the Destiny Companion app to your Android or iOS device right now free of charge. If you already have the app downloaded, make sure to update it before you start playing the full version of the game.

Destiny is coming September 9th, 2014 to the Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, and Playstation 3.

Download the P.T. Demo Right Now August 12, 2014

Sony has just released a brand new demo to the Playstation Store for Gamescom 2014. Dubbed “The World’s First Interactive Teaser” it looks like an entirely new way of marketing may be coming our way.

The P.T. demo is currently on the Playstation Store, although you may need to conduct a manual search to find it. The demo is free and weighs in at around 1.4GB.

Journey Announced for PS4 August 12, 2014

You read that right. Today, at Gamescom 2014, Sony has announced that the 2012 Game of the Year Contender is getting released on the Playstation 4.

Journey is out now on the PS3. It is coming soon to the PS4. Anyone who purchased the game digitally will be able to play it on multiple platforms at no additional charge.

Until Dawn Now Coming to Playstation 4 August 12, 2014

Until Dawn was first announced as a Playstation 3 horror title which would make full use of the Playstation Move control system. That was back at Gamescom 2012. At this year’s Gamescom, Sony announced Until Dawn would be coming to the Playstation 4, and it has never looked better.

If you’re wondering why the game looks so good, Sony’s PR people did mention the game is now using the same engine as the PS4 launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall.

Until Dawn is coming exclusively to the Playstation 4.

inFAMOUS First Light Gamescom 2014 Trailer August 12, 2014

inFAMOUS First Light is a prequel story to the PS4 exclusive hit game inFAMOUS Second Son and tells the background story of Abagail “Fetch” Walker, a conduit with the power to control neon.

The game was first announced at this year’s E3, but at Sony’s Gamescom 2014 Press Briefing, we got a closer look at what is in store for Fetch. Give it a look.

Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta Premiere August 12, 2014

Right after announcing the new Halo Channel, 343 Industries went right back on the Gamescom stage and have us the first details on the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta. Take a look.

The Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta is expected to launch December 29th, 2014 for Xbox One owners who pick up a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. I guess I know what I’ll be playing on New Years Eve.

Halo Channel Announced August 12, 2014

In 2009, Microsoft released the Halo Waypoint on the Xbox 360. It was pegged as a one stop shop for the latest Halo information as well as a way for Halo players to keep track on their game progress and unlock further game features across all the Halo games. Today at Gamescom, Microsoft has announced an all new way to view Halo, the Halo Channel.

From the looks of this trailer, it looks like the channel is coming to Xbox One and Tablets.

Halo Channel is expected to launch in November 2014.

Quantum Break Gamescom 2014 Demo August 12, 2014

There was no game showing at this year’s Gamescom that I was looking forward to more than Quantum Break. Remedy did an entire eight minute live demo at the Xbox Press Briefing this morning, the first time that gamers have ever seen this game in action. You have to give it a look.

Quantum Break is coming in 2015 exclusively on Xbox One.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Mega Evolution Trailer August 10, 2014

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire may be 3DS remakes of the third generation Pokémon games, but it will be including a ton of new features including something only possible in the sixth generation, Mega Evolution.

Before today, we only knew a few Pokémon which would be able to Mega Evolve. Today, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have released this new trailer to show Mega Evolutions we have never seen before, and will be possible in the new games. Did I also mention Cosplay Pikachu can fight?

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are coming November 2014 exclusively to the Nintendo 3DS.

Mario Kart 8 Mercedes-Benz DLC Trailer August 7, 2014

The trailer for the very first DLC for Mario Kart 8 has hit the web.  Three new karts, inspired by cars developed by Mercedes-Benz, are coming to the game and all players will be able to get them free of charge.  Take a look at them for yourselves.

I just love that theme song.  The Mercedes-Benz DLC will be added in a free software update on August 27th, 2014.  You will need a full version of Mario Kart 8 to play.

Mario Kart 8 is out now exclusively on the Wii U.
