Final Fantasy Portal App Announced June 16, 2015

Earlier today during the Square Enix E3 2015 Press Event, Square Enix showed off several new games and apps they plan to release on mobile platforms alongside the games they plan to release on PC and Consoles.  One of the most interesting announcements they made for mobile today was the announcement of the Final Fantasy Portal app.

In the app, you’ll be able to research Final Fantasy information and lore to your heart’s content. You’ll also be able to play the fan favorite minigame Triple Triad, which debuted in Final Fantasy VIII. Square Enix promises that the hub will also be a place where you will be able to unlock exclusive content  for future games, but did not give further details about that.

Final Fantasy Portal is coming to iOS and Android Devices free of charge.

Square Enix E3 2015 Press Conference June 16, 2015

For those of you that might have missed it, here’s the complete stream of Square Enix’s E3 2015 Press Event.

It has been a while since Square Enix has hosted an E3 Press Event but I must say they made a great decision to have one this year. During the event they show Just Cause 3, the newest Tomb Raider, Hitman, and Deus Ex games, and of course Kingdom Hearts III. Give it a watch.

Nintendo Digital Event E3 2015 June 16, 2015

In case you happened to miss its live stream, here’s the ENTIRE Nintendo Digital Event for E3 2015.  In this video you’ll catch the latest footage from upcoming titles including Mario Maker, see the very first gameplay footage of anticipated titles like Star Fox Zero on Wii U, and see some never before announced games get announced!  I promise not to spoil anything else, you’ll just have to watch it for yourselves.

Sony chose to wrap up their E3 2015 Press Event with a game that needs no introduction. Barring a hiccup, you need to give this a watch.

Mirrors Edge Catalyst Release Date June 15, 2015

Today, EA gave the first gameplay trailer for the game that die hard DICE have wanted for years now during their EA E3 Press Event, Mirrors Edge Catalyst.  If you’ve played the first game or not, this new game feels like an entirely new experience on the next generation consoles. Take a look!

Mirrors Edge Catalyst is coming February 23rd, 2016 to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Mass Effect Andromeda Announced June 15, 2015

Better dust off your N7 armor, Mass Effect is back. Officially announced at today’s EA E3 2015 Press Event, I present to you Mass Effect Andromeda. 

Mass Effect: Andromeda is coming Holiday 2016 to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Gears of War 4 Announced June 15, 2015

Today at Microsoft’s E3 2015 Press Event, Microsoft announced the fourth game in their staple Xbox franchise, Gears of War, and gave their first gameplay reveal.  Take a look.

Not enough Gears of War for you?  No problem.  Microsoft is going to release the Gears of War Ultimate Edition later this year, which will bring the original Gears of War games natively to the Xbox One in 1080p.  If you can’t wait to play that, Microsoft is hosting an open beta test for the first Gears of War‘s multiplayer starting today. Just download the Beta on your Xbox One and start playing.

Halo 5: Guardians E3 2015 Gameplay Demo June 15, 2015

Earlier today, Microsoft and 343 Industries exhibited the first look at the single player campaign for Halo 5: Guardians. Here is the video of the entire E3 demo, and you can watch it below. Halo fans should look sharp, you might notice a familiar character sporting a whole new set of armor, and a brand new title.

Okay so that was a look at the game’s single player campaign (albeit in cooperative mode), but long time Halo fans know that the real long term Halo gameplay is in its multiplayer mode.  Welcome to Warzone.

Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibity Coming to Xbox One June 15, 2015

You read that title right. Microsoft announced today during their E3 2015 Press Event that the Xbox One will be getting backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 titles.

Like with the 360’s ability to play original Xbox, backwards compatible games are on a case by case basis although Microsoft plans to have a catalog of over one hundred backwards compatible games by the end of the year.  Players will be able to play any downloadable titles they purchased once they become playable on Xbox One. Retail games will require your original game disc to play.

Complete Bethesda E3 2015 Press Event June 15, 2015

Tonight, Bethesda held their first ever E3 Press Event, where they showed their fans, the press, and the gaming public the games they plan to show at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo.  If you want to give it a watch, you can be sure to see new never before seen footage from Fallout 4, Dishonored 2, and the new DOOM game.  There might even be a release date announcement or two in there.
