The PlayStation Blog has just announced Naughty Dog intends to host a multiplayer stress test this weekend for the highly-anticipated game Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

The biggest reveal that I can make about this announcement is that this multiplayer stress test will be available to all PS4 owners, including PS4 players without an active PS Plus Subscription!

The Uncharted 4 test client should be available to download today on the PlayStation Store in anticipation for the planned test time, March 4th to March 6th.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is coming April, 2016 exclusively on PS4.

On February 27th, 2016 Nintendo will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the release of the original Pokemon games with a huge celebration across the world. However, before that celebration starts, Nintendo decided to release a Pokémon Direct, the first Nintendo Direct video to be released in quite some time, to detail their plans for the Pokémon franchise this year.  Give it a watch, there’s a huge announcement at the very end!

Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I present Mr. Ischihara, President and CEO of The Pokémon Company.

Fighting game fans who have been playing Killer Instinct on the Xbox One will be happy to know that a new challenger is being added to the game for Season 3.

That challenger…is The Arbiter!

First appearing in Halo 2, The Arbiter is an honorable foe trying to overcome the shame of his disgrace. He has since become an ally of Master Chief JOHN-117, and now he could become Killer Instinct‘s deadliest opponent!

I don’t remember seeing this battle in Halo 5

The Arbiter is coming to Killer Instinct in March 2016. Killer Instinct is out now on Xbox One and is coming soon to Windows 10.

A massive content update for Halo 5: Guardians was released earlier today and can be downloaded right now on the Xbox One free of charge.  The biggest addition this update brings?  In my opinion it’s the Halo: Combat Evolved Pistol REQ!

Pistol aside, what else does the new update include?  Take a look at the official trailer!

If you’d like a more in-depth look at what is being added in Hammer Storm, take a look at this archived stream where 343 Industries gave players a first look at it!

You can read all the details about the official patch here.  The Hammer Storm update is a pretty hefty one, weighing in at 4.5GB, even if you had the previously most recent Content Update installed.  It is a required download to play the game’s multiplayer component, so make sure to download it as soon as possible!

Halo 5: Guardians is out now exclusively on Xbox One.

We’re just a few days away from the massive celebration that Nintendo and The Pokémon Conpany have planned for the twentieth anniversary of the release of the very first Pokémon games, and to help prepare for the festivities, The Pokémon Company  released the Pokémon Photo Booth app for iOS and Android smartphones!

On its face, the Pokémon Photo Booth app is a free photo editor that enables smartphone users to add filters and captions to photos they’ve taken.  However, this app is perfect for creating future Pokémon memes!

Any photos produced with the app can be added directly to social networks like Instagram or Twitter. Make sure to hashtag the photos with #Pokemon20 for the chance to get your photo featured!

The Pokémon Photo Booth app is free to download on your iOS or Android device using your device’s respective App Store.  If you’re using an iPhone you can download the app here. On iOS it only takes up around 60MB of space.  Android users might have to wait a little bit longer for it to appear on Google Play.

We’re two months away from the release of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End on the PlayStation 4, and earlier today, Sony and Naughty Dog released an epic trailer showing some of the game’s story.  Give it a watch, you might notice some familiar characters you didn’t know would be making an appearance!

It’s nice to see Sully and Elena will be back!

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is coming April 2016 exclusively on the PlayStation 4.

Quantum Break Has Gone Gold February 19, 2016

Whether you’ve waited three years since it was first announced or six years since the release of Alan Wake, I am proud to repeat the news that Quantum Break has Gone Gold!

Gone Gold, for those who don’t know, is a term which means that the game has been finished and is currently in the process of duplication. “Gold” refers to the finished Gold Master version of the game.  So essentially the game is done, and Remedy can celebrate all the hard work they’ve done while we wait for the game to arrive on shelves!

Quantum Break remains my most anticipated Xbox One title, and it has been since it was first shown at the Xbox One’s reveal. It was developed by Remedy, a company known for the incredible games Max Payne, Alan Wake and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. These were three titles that not only revolutionized the gaming industry, they rewrote the book on what could be possible with a game’s narriative.  Now it looks like Quantum Break will be breaking new ground all over again.

Quantum Break is coming April 5th, 2016 to Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One.

New Pokken Tournament Trailer Reveals Shadow Mega Mewtwo February 18, 2016

The Pokémon Company released the newest trailer for the upcoming fighting game Pokkén Tournament. Check it out below!

Nintendo has been teasing that they will offer a playable Shadow Mewtwo character for this upcoming game, and this trailer shows that it can Mega Evolve.  This seems like something right out of left field for me, because as far as I know, we’ve only seen Shadow Pokémon in the GameCube titles Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. It would be nice to see these games remade for the Wii U.

If you can’t wait to play this game, Nintendo is doing an exclusive pre-access tournament with GameStop stores across the US. Check out all the details here.  Winners will get prizes like a Wii U, a copy of Pokkén Tournament and a trip to Pokémon World Championships 2016!

Pokkén Tournament is coming March 2016 exclusively for the Wii U.

Miitomo Site Launches February 17, 2016

Today, Nintendo has launched the website Miitomo, and is offering players the chance to pre-register for it before the service goes live!

Miitomo is planned as a social networking site for Nintendo lovers. In it, you can create a Mii and use it as your social avatar for communicating with others.  A dedicated SmartPhone app is planned for iOS and Android devices, and that app will launch with the service in March 2016.

I think Nintendo is in a great position to launch a social networking community. They did a great job with the Miiverse community back when the Wii U launched, I could easily see this service being used for people who outright refuse to use other services like Facebook due to privacy concerns.

Preregistration will continue until the service officially launches. Anyone who preregisters during this period will earn some exclusive platinum points for use when Nintendo launches the My Nintendo club site.

Quantum Break Coming to Windows 10 Day and Date With Xbox One Version February 11, 2016

Microsoft responded to the pleas of the entire internet today and confirmed that Quantum Break, the first game ever announced for the Xbox One, will be coming to the PC!  Here’s the official confirmation by Major Nelson and all the details you’ll need to know about it!

That’s right!  Anyone who buys Quantum Break on Xbox One will ALSO get themselves a free copy of Alan Wake (with both DLC episodes) which they can play on their Xbox One using Backwards Compatibility.  Anyone who preorders the Xbox One version of Quantum Break (either digitally or through a participating retailer) will get a free copy of the PC version of Quantum Break, and a copy of Alan Wake’s American Nightmare for the Xbox One (playable through Xbox One Backwards Compatibility).

Oh and yes, Alan Wake (and its subsequent DLC) and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare are coming to Xbox One’s Backwards Compatibility lineup!

The PC version of Quantum Break has some pretty steep system requirements, requiring at minimum an Intel i5 Processor and an Nvidia 760 GPU.  Obviously I would recommend an Intel i7 and Nvidia 980 for best performance.  The game will also require Windows 10, so if you’re using Windows 7 or Windows 8, now might be the time to finally perform that system upgrade you’ve been putting off?

Quantum Break is coming to Xbox One AND Windows 10 PCs April 5th, 2016.
