God of War: Countdown To Launch Complete Video April 20, 2018

I love when publishers host live launch events for games online. It’s a great way for fans and developers to celebrate the imminent launch of a highly-anticipated game and learn some behind the scenes information about its development as the clock ticks forward until midnight. However, since these events tend to start late and can happen at the same time a fan might be out getting the game, it is entirely possible to miss them.
Good news for anyone who missed last night’s God of War launch event or wants to rewatch it, the launch stream for God of War on the PS4 has been archived on the official PlayStation YouTube Channel. Enjoy.
In the future I’d like to see retailers like GameStop broadcast these live streams on their in-store monitors during midnight launch events. Every store has at least one big screen HDTV hanging up on a wall, why don’t they put it to use?
God of War is out now exclusively on the PlayStation 4.

We are days away from the release of God of War on the PS4, and Sony has been releasing a new behind the scenes documentary for the game every day leading up to its launch. Today, we’re going to highlight some of the best documentaries Sony has put out to date. First, let’s take a closer look at one of the game’s major enemies, the troll.
Now let’s take an in-depth look at something I’m really interested in. A lot has obviously happened to Kratos after the events of God of War III, a game people who completed it were surprised to discover he survived.
We will post up more videos as the game ramps up for release on Thursday night. Stay tuned for more God of War content throughout the week!
God of War is coming April 20th, 2018 exclusively to the PS4.

Sega made an enormous announcement late tonight and I had to fire up the site to share it with all of you. The Sega Dreamcast cult classics Shenmue I & II is being remastered for modern game consoles and PC!
Shenmue was considered to be the greatest game made for one of the most beloved game systems of all time. It is still recognized as groundbreaking for a lot of features that have since become standard in games for its open world day/night cycle and extreme environment interactivity. Shenmue II was released on the Xbox in the US and continued that tradition, but many purists believed the original Dreamcast version of the game that was looked better. I’ll post an article covering more about that later.
The remastered edition of both games will offer custom resolution support, choice of modern or original control schemes, and an updated interface. Oh and did I mention the game will include both English and Japanese voice over? Take a look!
Shenmue I & II is coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4.

We’ve got slightly over a week until the release of the highly-anticipated PS4 exclusive game, God of War. This week, Sony offered to showcase what the game’s character progression system is going to look like. Building and increasing Kratos’s skills has always been a staple of God of War, and I’m glad to see that tradition will continue with this game.
Unlockable skills based on in-game earned experience points? It’s so nice to see a recent triple-a game released with a in-depth single-player campaign and no microtransactions. See you next week, Kratos!
God of War is coming exclusively to the PS4 on April 20th, 2018.

We’re fourteen days away from the release of God of War on the PlayStation 4, and Sony has been cranking the promotion of the game up to eleven. Today, they released an all-new behind the scenes featurette on the game which details the underlying inspiration of the game’s music. This time, the game’s music will have lyrics based in Old Norse as opposed to Latin from previous games. Given the new mythology for this new game, I’m not surprised. Let’s take a closer look into what it takes to make the music for a game like this.

So take a look at this new trailer for the game where not only will you see the game’s official release date, but the first announcement for the game’s preorder bonuses and its Collector’s Edition.

Get Legendary Pokemon Raiku or Entai From Target Stores Later This Month April 3, 2018

Today, The Pokémon Company has finally announced how they will be distributing this month’s legendary Pokémon Raiku and Entai. Take a look:
Retail store Target will distribute codes for the event on during the last week of April. No further details have been given, including exactly WHERE Target customers should be expected to go to find the codes.
I understand The Pokémon Company wants to give trainers a little challenge when distributing these legendary Pokémon, but this is a little ridiculous. GameStop stores are smaller and have an easy to find staff briefed on store promotions. In my experience, Target stores are huge and employ lots of people, many of which will likely not get briefed on the event. Which isle will customers need to look to find the codes? Who will we have to talk to that may know what is going on? We will have to find out for ourselves starting on April 22nd.
Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon are out now exclusively on Nintendo 3DS systems.
Detective Pikachu Prequel Story Free on Kindle April 3, 2018

I just wanted to give you all a heads up about something you may have missed out on. The Pokémon Company and Amazon have partnered to offer a free prequel story to the new 3DS game Detective Pikachu. The specific free story is called Detective Pikachu Episode 0: Eevee’s Case and it is published by The Pokémon Company.
If you’re not a Kindle owner, it may take some wrangling to get this story for yourself, despite the fact that it is free. As of the time of this post, Kindle purchases can only be made on the Amazon.com website, and cannot be made through a smart device’s Amazon app. You’ll also need the Kindle app on a Kindle-enabled device like the iPhone to read the story once it is added to your account.
We may end up reviewing the story in the future but for now, if you’re a Kindle user interested in Detective Pikachu, you should give it a look!
