We got some unexpected Halo news coming out of Microsoft earlier today. Microsoft and 343 Industries has confirmed they will be giving Halo 5: Guardians players a free Platinum REQ Pack every day between Sunday and Thursday, essentially every day of E3. All you’ll have to do to get them will be to launch your copy of Halo 5 each day starting tomorrow. Halo Wars 2 players will get two free Blitz Packs every day between Sunday and Thursday just for starting the game every day.
Could this show of goodwill be to gain back player interest in Halo in anticipation for the announcement of a new Halo game? Time will tell, and Microsoft will stream their E3 Press Event tomorrow. We will keep you posted with more news as it develops. If you’ve deleted these games from your Xbox One’s internal hard drive, I would start reinstalling them as soon as possible.
UPDATE: Its over. Hopefully you got something good in your packs.
Halo 5: Guardians is out now exclusively for the Xbox One. Halo Wars 2 is out now for the PC and Xbox One.

Gamers have been speculating about what kind of mainstream Pokémon games would be coming to the Nintendo Switch since the console was announced. Over the past few weeks, rumors began to circulate online that Pikachu and Eevee would be the mascots of the next major games for the Nintendo Switch. Today, the rumors turned out to be true.
Did you get all that? We will be getting all-new Kanto remakes in full HD on the Nintendo Switch! Players will be able to play with just one joy-con controller or get help from a second player using the other joy-con! Tons of classic GEN1 Pokémon including Mewtwo, Bulbasaur, Pidgey and Clefairy will appear in the game.
Capturing Pokémon will use the joy-con’s motion control gestures but look similar to how they work in Pokémon Go. There will be a dedicated Pokeball Plus accessory players will be able to connect to their Nintendo Switch. Like a Wiimote, it’s filled with gyroscopes and motion detectors. You’ll be able to use them to assist in catching ’em all. Or you’ll be able to transfer a Pokémon to it from your game and take the Pokéball Plus on the go!
Finally, Pokémon Go players will be able to transfer Pokémon caught in Pokémon Go to the Nintendo Switch, and receive in-game presents from the Switch games!
Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee are coming to the Nintendo Switch November 16th, 2018. The Pokeball Plus accessory will also be released on that day.
