Just be aware the update also includes firmware updates for the Left and Right Joy-Con Controllers. You’ll need to update your controllers after updating the Switch. The newest television commercial for the theatrical release of Pokémon Detective Pikachu confirms that The Pokémon Company will be offering an exclusive Detective Pikachu TCG promo card to people who attend the film. Take a look at the commercial and see for yourself.
At this point I’m certain that even if your local theater is offering these promo cards, you’ll need to speak up to your ticket taker about it because my local theater NEVER trains their ticket takers to give out promotional goodies for special films. In short, if you don’t get one, don’t be afraid to ask about it.
Detective Pikachu is coming to theaters on May 10th, 2019.
