Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Delayed October 16, 2019

I’ve been looking forward to playing a sequel to the original Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines since the end of 2004. Now it looks like I will be waiting just a bit longer. It is my sad duty to inform you all that Paradox Interactive has delayed their upcoming sequel past their previous release date of Q1 2020.
You can read their official word on the delay here. I have to say I’m okay with this delay as the world Paradox is creating (based on the early previews) is huge with a branching interconnected story. Polishing and testing a world that complex takes time. Of course those of us who have played the original Bloodlines will be the first to say how they wished that game had received several more months of play testing before that game was released. I’m hopeful the sequel will improve on the original.
Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is coming later in 2020 to PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Nintendo has released a very minor system software update, version 9.0.1, for the Nintendo Switch that addresses unspecific bugs. The new update is not currently required to access Nintendo Network but it’s only a matter of time before it becomes required.
I recommend updating your Joy Con controllers’ firmware following the software update to improve performance. You can thankfully do that without having to leave the controller docked in the Switch tablet.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game, a video game written and starring the original Ghostbusters cast that continued the story past the second film, is considered by many to be the third GB film. Having played it myself upon its original release I can confirm I share those feelings.
Some time ago, Sony announced their plans to rerelease the original game remastered for modern game consoles. Now, it looks like that game is ready to launch. Here’s the original launch trailer.
This will have to hold us over until Jason Reitman’s film comes out.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game is out now on PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4.

Gears 5 Title Update 1 Released October 3, 2019

Gears 5 is the biggest exclusive game Microsoft will publish this year and it has gotten plenty of well-deserved praise from gaming media across the web. Sadly, it also suffered from numerous bugs and glitches that were unable to be fixed before its initial release.
Here’s a full list of all the bug fixes brought in by Title Update 1 and a roadmap for the game’s ongoing support. Not all of the game’s bugs were fixed, there are still some issues that Microsoft and The Coalition are aware of. You can keep up to date with the game’s current status by clicking here.
Personally I’m glad to see this release is out. Due to the collectible retention bug, I held off progressing in the game past the start of Act II until many of these issues were addressed. It looks like I should be able to resume my campaign
Gears 5 is out now for the Xbox One and PC.
