Epic is Publishing Remedy’s Next Games March 28, 2020

Epic Games, who you might remember as the creators of Unreal, has announced they are going into the publishing business. One of the first major developers who will work under the Epic Publishing empire is Remedy, creators of Alan Wake and Control. Let’s take a look.

According to the current Epic deal, Remedy has full funding for a new game and it’s spinoff. When I read the details of this new publishing empire I wonder to myself how EA and Activision will respond. Maybe this will be the beginning of a major publisher shakeup that is long overdue.

Catherine: Full Body Announced for Switch March 26, 2020

Nintendo has announced they will be releasing a port of one of their most demanded games for the Nintendo Switch, Catherine: Full Body. An updated version of the classic game Catherine, the switch version will include all the new scenes and game modes offered in the updated Full Body version that was released on the PS4. Take a look.

Catherine: Full Body is out now for PS4. It is coming July 7th, 2020 for the Nintendo Switch.

iOS, iPadOS and tvOS 13.4 Released March 24, 2020

Apple has just released an important update for iPads, iPhones and Apple TVs across the board about an hour ago. The new update, 13.4 adds a slew of security updates and new features. While the fact this is an incremental version number may think the update only includes bug fixes, it is not a small update. Portable devices can expect improvements with mememoji. The iPad’s biggest new feature will include support for mouse and trackpads.

The update will weigh in at around 870MB depending on your device. You can download it through your device’s software update feature or iTunes.

Square Enix has just published episode 2 of Inside Final Fantasy VII Remake, a documentary series which talks about what went into the development of one of the most demanded games in history. If you don’t speak Japanese, you might need to manually enable subtitles for this one!

Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming April 10th, 2020 for the PS4.

Control March Update Coming March 26th March 23, 2020

We are days away from the release of the first major DLC expansion Control on the PC and PS4 (Xbox One will be getting the DLC in June), The Foundation. In anticipation for DLC1’s release, Remedy is releasing a free patch for Control this month. They’re adding a ton of new features and improvements on every platform including an improved map and DLSS 2.0 Support on PC. Take a look at this video which shows the newest patch in action.

The March 2020 patch should be released on all platforms on March 26th, the same day The Foundation is released on PC and PS4.

Control is out now for the PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Nintendo Switch Software Update 9.2.0 Released March 20, 2020

As I was preparing to download the Trials Of Mana demo, my games eventually stopped allowing me to access their Software Update functionality. It turns out a new software update for the Nintendo Switch, version 9.2.0, has been released to little fanfare.

It looks like this Software Update is required to play the latest version of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield (version 1.1.1). You can download it right now through your Switch’s Software Update functions.
