Japan Travel Tips – How to Visit the Town From Silent Hill F December 2, 2025

Happy Tuesday, gamers! Welcome back to Japan Travel Tips, where we share some of the best independently produced documentaries about traveling across the country of Japan. Has anyone ever wanted to take a vacation in Silent Hill? I promise I’ll only judge you SLIGHTLY if you say yes.

Konami’s recent Silent Hill game actually takes place in the publisher’s homeland. This is a first for the franchise, as previous entries either took place in the US or Europe. As we’ve previously covered in our article about Shenmue, game developers have a tendency to recreate a real-life space in a way that makes the player feel like they’ve actually been there!

YouTube Channel Mrs Eats has found the town that was used as the inspiration for Silent Hill f As you’ll see in this video, it was METICULOUSLY recreated by the development team. I felt it was not just a good comparison of the area to the game, it is beautifully photographed, and there’s a great inclusion on the history of the town, including some components I had no idea about!
