Marvel’s Avengers 1.3.0 Patch Notes September 18, 2020

An enormous patch for Marvel’s Avengers, which should include fixes for a lot of the game’s most important issues, is being sent out on all of its platforms as I write this.
If you’d like to read the complete patch notes you can check it out here. Just be aware it’s quite a read. There’s nearly 1000 fixes in this update.
I know a lot of people have been attacking this game’s stability since it launched but having completed its single-player campaign I can say that despite its issues I had a blast playing it and felt it’s story could stand alongside tons of great Marvel comic stories over the past half a century. If you are a fan of these characters the game really should get checked out.
Marvel’s Avengers is out now for Stadia, PC, Xbox One and PS4. It is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.

The third episode of Night City Wire, the ongoing preview series of the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game, was released earlier today. This particular episode focuses on Night City itself, the gangs, and offers some new perspectives of the game’s atmosphere. It’s a bit shorter than previous episodes but still with a watch.
The developers have promised a fourth episode is coming.

Fifteen years ago, a (then) little known French developer called Quantic Dream released a game unlike anything we had seen before, you may know it as Faherenheit or Indigo Prophecy depending on your region. Directed by David Cage, who would go on to direct games like Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human, it was a unique game with an incredible story.
Here’s an interview with the game’s director to celebrate its anniversary!
Fahrenheit or Indigo Prophecy is out now on multiple platforms including PC, Xbox and PS2.
Vote To Bring Cal Kestis Lightsaber in Disney Parks September 18, 2020

EA’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was an incredible game I enjoyed very much. It expanded the current Star Wars universe and added a new cast of characters as we lived the story of Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis trying to find his way in the galaxy. Since the game was released it has received a major update that added even more features including new lightsaber customization options.
Several months ago I wrote an article lamenting the fact that Cal currently had no representation in Disney’s bicoastal theme parks. At the very least I thought it would be awesome to buy his lightsaber. His lightsaber, that originally belonged to his Jedi Master, was incredibly distinctive, and throughout the game you have the ability to add components inspired by the same pieces you could find in Galaxy’s Edge.
Today, EA announced Disney Parks are taking a poll to determine the next legacy lightsaber they’re going to sell in Galaxy’s Edge. Cal Kestis’s lightsaber is on the list. It looks like they’re using the default design but there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m asking all of you who love this game as much as I do to please vote in this poll for Cal’s saber!
You have the chance to vote until October 1st, 2020!

Spider-Man: Miles Morales Confirmed for PS4 September 16, 2020

Sony and Insomniac Games have confirmed shortly after wrapping today’s PS5 event that Spider-Man: Miles Morales, my most anticipated PlayStation Exclusive title, will be coming to the PS4 on top of the PS5.
So how will this work? Well, PS4 owners will be able to pick up a PS4 copy of the game from their local retailer at launch. They can then, if they decide to buy a PS5, use it on the PS5 with some enhanced graphics, effects and visual fidelity. The game is expected to retail for a price of around $50 US. The PS4 copy will also play fine in a PS4 Pro.
Prospective PS5-buyers who do not own a PS4 or a copy of the original can buy a premium PS5 copy of Spider-Man: Miles Morales with all the bells and whistles you’ve seen in all of the game’s previews. A special edition of the PS5 game will also be released with an improved version of the previous Spider-Man game for PS5. It’ll come with new skins, new trophies, and new photo mode features. That two-game bundle should retail for $80 US.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is coming to the PS4 AND the PS5 November 2020.
iOS and iPadOS 14 Released September 16, 2020

Apple has just released an enormous update bringing everything from widgets to improved Apple Pencil support (on iPad). The new version, iOS and iPadOS 14, is compatible with recent Apple devices going as far back as at least the iPhone 7.
To install the new update, it can be downloaded through your device’s software update feature (in the settings app) or through iTunes. Just be aware you’re going to need to free up a LOT of space. We clocked this one in at around 2.5GB, and that’s even if you already have the most recent OS previously installed.
Yesterday I made a proclamation not to upgrade if you play Pokémon Go. If you do, you can upgrade now, the issue with the app running on 14 has been fixed. Just make sure to update your Pokémon Go app to its latest version before or after upgrading iOS or iPadOS 14.
