It looks like we’re going to be focusing on two new main characters and a whole new story in the Life is Strange universe. How will Captain Spirit factor into this? I guess only time will tell.

The next part of what appears to be an ongoing series of new trailers for Spider-Man on PS4 was just released by IGN. This video shares a similar framework to the previous one, as we get to hear the great banter between Spider-Man and J. Jonah Jameson. Sadly, this trailer being released on the IGN channel means we can’t see it in 4K just yet, but if it gets re-posted on a better place like the official PlayStation or Insomniac channels, we will replace it with the superior version immediately. UPDATE: We’ve replaced it.
Well, this confirms it, the Scarlet Spider suit will be playable in the PS4 game. Great choice, and some might remember it was one of my requests.
Spider-Man is coming September 7th, 2018 exclusively to the PS4.

New Game Plus Mode Added to God of War on PS4 August 20, 2018

The highly anticipated New Game Plus (NG+) mode has been added to the PS4 exclusive game God of War earlier today. It is completely free of charge and does not require a visit to the PlayStation Store to download. The new mode will allow you to start a new game with all of the abilities you unlocked in a previous completed campaign available at the start. You’ll also be able to skip story cutscenes while in NG+ Mode if you choose.
This was a much requested feature, probably more requested than the Photo Mode that was announced shortly before the game came out. To add the NG+ Mode to your game, you’ll need to install the game’s newest patch, version 1.30. If you previously had the most recent version of the game installed, it will require your console to download over 800MB of data.
God of War is out now exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

Mega Evolution has been one of the biggest advancements to the Pokémon franchise since it was first included in the Generation 6 Pokémon games, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. They’ve also made retroactive appearances in remakes of earlier Pokémon games, particularly the 3DS remakes of Ruby and Sapphire. Now, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have confirmed Mega Evolution will appear in their upcoming Switch games, despite the fact they are remakes of the first generation. Take a look at this trailer to see Mega Evolution in action for yourselves.
If memory serves, all of the first generation starter Pokémon had the ability for Mega Evolution…
Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee are coming in November 2018 exclusively to the Nintendo Switch.

The guys over at Square Enix are doing something really unique to promote the latest Tomb Raider game, Shadow of the Tomb Raider. They’re teaming up with Coca-Cola to host a one-night-only film event for an original documentary film Making of a Tomb Raider. In it, a special guest Clair Marie will show fans what it would take to accomplish everything Lara Croft does in the real world. Here’s the official trailer.
The film will be shown one night only on September 12th. You can check which of your local cinemas will be showing it on the official website.
I have to say that I would normally be all in on events like this, regardless if I was a fan of the property of not. However, special events like this have traditionally been done in the past completely free of charge, and I’m confused as to why they are charging people for tickets to this event, especially with Coke being listed as a major sponsor. Anyone who attends the movie will get access to an exclusive piece of DLC in the final version of the game.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is coming September 2018 to PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Niantic has announced a major update is in the works for Pokémon Go that will bring players the mythical Pokémon Celebi. Unless you got a Celebi during Pokémon Go Fest 2018, you won’t be able to find this Pokémon in the wild. Instead, you’ll need to perform specific research tasks starting August 20th. Players who already have Celebi can still complete the tasks, only completing them will unlock candy.
Players who haven’t caught Mew yet shouldn’t worry as the research tasks to obtain Mew will not be removed. However you will need to make some progress in your Mew research before you can start the research tasks for Celebi. You can learn all the details about the event here.
Pokémon Go is out now for Android and iOS Tablets and SmartPhones.

Gaming website IGN seems to have gotten their hands on the latest Spider-Man PS4 trailer, and its really good. For the first time ever we get a great look at some of the famous landmarks (real and not so real) that you’ll be able to visit in the game, and a taste of the great writing for the game. Sadly, it’s not in 4K, but hey it’s IGN, you really can’t expect quality from them.
UPDATE: We’ve replaced the lousy IGN embed with a superior 4K version of the trailer courtesy of the Official PlayStation YouTube Channel.
Spider-Man is coming September 7th, 2018 exclusively to the PS4.
