The fourth game in the New Super Mario Bros series is coming as a launch title for the Wii U.  Where previous games have allowed players to bring back all the classic 2D gameplay style of the original Super Mario Bros series, the New Super Mario Bros games take full advantage of all the improved technology modern hardware can afford, and can create all kinds of new levels, powerups and gameplay challenges.

This time around, New Super Mario Bros U will allow online connectivity, allowing for users to post comments about their game progress which others can enjoy across the internet.  It will also be the first New Super Mario Bros game to have a level select screen similiar to Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World.

If Nintendo Land is going to be everyone’s first party reason to buy a Wii U at launch, ZombiU looks to be the third-party reason.  Developed by UbiSoft, ZombiU plans to revolutionize the zombie survival genre in a way never previously thought possible because of the Wii U controller.

Sadly ZombiU didn’t get previewed live during the Nintendo Wii U Preview Event, but they did officially release this trailer for the game.

If this game can make launch, it would be fantastic for Nintendo.

ZombiU is coming exclusive to the Wii U.

Nintendo Land is going to be more than just a launch title for the Nintendo Wii U, its going to probably be the first game that most Wii U owners will play, as it is going to be bundled with the premium black Wii U console at launch for $249US.

Nintendo Land promises to show gamers all the new capabilities the Wii U brings to their fingertips just as Wii Sports did for the Wii when it launched back in 2006.  In all, eleven worlds are promised, with a wide range of different games to play in them.  Many are modeled after Nintendo’s most popular properties like Mario, PikiminZelda and Metroid.

Nintendo Land is coming November 18th, 2012 exclusive to the Wii U.  The game will be bundled with all black Wii U consoles.
