EA Play 2021 is one of the final events to cap off the traditional E3 2021 press events. The third-party publishing monolith has been teasing new games for this event, but not in the form of Star Wars games. What did we get? Fast forward to the thirty minute mark and find out!
iPadOS 14.7 Released July 22, 2021

A day after the release of updates for most of their major portable devices, Apple has updated the iPad’s operating system to support some of the features added in the iOS 14.7 update. Of major note is the ability to place restrictions on Apple Card spending.
The update, depending on your device, could weigh in at around 880MB, even if you previously had the most recent version of iPadOS.
Pokémon Unite Released on Nintendo Switch July 22, 2021

Pokémon UNITE was built up to be the next major competitive Pokémon game for smartphones and tablets. Now, it’s out for the Nintendo Switch and you can download it right now.
All players who start playing the game now will receive a free mythical Zeraora.

Conversations With Curtis Episode 4 Release Date July 21, 2021

Since it was first revealed, we’ve been following the progress on Conversations With Curtis, an online web series which features interviews with the people behind the classic PC horror game Phantasmagoria 2. Now, we finally have the official details on the next episode. Let’s watch and find out.
Conversations With Curtis Episode 4 will broadcast July 31st, 2021 at 10AM Pacific (1PM Eastern). The special guest will be the game’s legendary composer Gary Spinard. You can subscribe to the channel here.

Nintendo Switch 12.1.0 Update Released July 21, 2021

Nintendo has made their recent software update a required download to use online features of the Nintendo Switch. Software Update 12.1.0 improves the interface for storage management when you need to free up space to start a large download. The new version also includes new Joy-Con firmware.

Apple just released major software updates for the Apple Watch, Apple TV and iPhone. The new iPhone update adds support for the new MagSafe Battery across all iPhone 12 phones, and some credit limitations for Apple Card.
The new update is pretty hefty and weighs in between 800-950MB, even if you had iOS 14.6 installed.
WatchOS 7.6 adds ECG support as well as new heart warning features in 30 more countries.
There is currently no iPadOS release.

Pokémon Go Fest 2021 will take place 10am-6pm Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for the virtual event are $4.99 US.

Pokémon Trainers, don’t forget that Pokémon Go Fest 2021 will take place this weekend! Just like last year, the event is happening worldwide and anyone with a respective device will be able to participate.
So how do you play? Tickets are $4.99 US and can be purchased through your device’s respective App Store. If you don’t have a credit card, you might need to buy a gift card for either iTunes or Google Pay because you can’t purchase a ticket with PokéCoins.
Of course there are other ways to play. Live streaming will be happening throughout the 2-day event, and Niantic published a free page full of crafting items for fun or decoration. If you are a Google device player, you may be entitled to some free goodies when you log in.
