Last year, Toys R Us stores across the country hosted Pokémon Play and Trade events. They gave out goodies including rare promotional TCG cards, posters and a lot more. These events were a ton of fun and I always looked forward to joining them when they took place. Today, Toys R Us has announced they’re doing another one!
All Toys R Us stores will be participating in a new Pokémon Play and Trade event on Saturday February 4th, 2017 from 12-2PM. They will be giving away a rare Cosmog foil TCG card from Pokémon Sun and Moon and a Pokémon activity book. The event is free to everyone, so if you’re a long-time Pokémon Trainer or just someone interested in starting their Pokémon Journey check it out!
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Released January 24, 2017

Late last night, Square Enix released the highly anticipated compilation game Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8.
Not only does this compilation game include an HD remaster of the Nintendo 3DS classic Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, the HD cinematic Kingdom Hearts X: Back Cover, it includes an all-new game, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep 0.2. Take a look at this trailer for it.
Everything in this new game serves as an excellent prologue to Kingdom Hearts III! Expect an unboxing and possibly a live game stream for this game soon.
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD is out now exclusively on the PlayStation 4.

Square Enix is hosting an incredible festival inside Final Fantasy XV and players in North America and Europe can check it out right now! Take a look for yourselves what is in store for you!
This event is only going on for a limited time so make sure to fire up your game ASAP if you want to check it out. You need to make sure your game is patched to the latest version and you’ve downloaded the recent DLC pack to participate.

iOS 10.2.1 Released January 23, 2017

iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users running iOS 10 should run software update on their devices, because Apple has just released iOS 10.2.1.
The new software update contains bug fixes and security patches, but the release notes do not go into specifics about what was changed. If you were previously running iOS 10.2, the update should be relatively small, ranging around 65MB.

Halo Wars 2 Blitz Beta Now Live January 21, 2017

Big news for Xbox Live and Windows 10 users this weekend! Microsoft has released the Halo Wars 2 Blitz Beta on Xbox One and Windows 10. While this is Halo Wars 2‘s second multiplayer Beta for the Xbox One, it will be the first time Windows 10 users will get to play this unique RTS game!
While stats and rankings earned in the Beta won’t carry over to the full game, Microsoft is offering a free Blitz pack to anyone who plays the Blitz Beta and a second Blitz pack for Beta players who complete a single game. Those two packs will carry over to the full game!
When you’re ready to get into the Beta just be aware it will take some preparation. This is a decent sized download, on the Xbox One the beta weighs in at around 11GB.
Halo Wars 2 is coming Feb 2017 to Xbox One and Windows 10.

Watch Dogs 2 Free Trial Announced for PS4 and Xbox One January 18, 2017

Watch Dogs 2 received impressive critical scores since its launch and is considered by many to be better than the first game. Sadly, few have actually chosen to play it and with no playable demo out for it there’s little incentive for players to try out the game. Well, today that predicament ends. Ubisoft has just announced that they will be offering a free trial version of Watch Dogs 2 for PS4 and Xbox One players!
The trial version of the game is fully playable with the caviat that players have a three-hour time limit. Sadly you can’t accumulate achievements or trophies in the trial game, but Ubisoft says that players who upgrade to the full version on Xbox One will unlock all of their earned trophies after upgrading their demo version to a full version.
The trial client is available starting today on the PS4 and January 24th on Xbox One. There has been no announcement about a PC version. Since the entire game client is included in the trial it can be a pretty hefty download, weighing in at around 28GB.

Ultra Street Fighter II Announced for Nintendo Switch January 13, 2017

Earlier today during the Nintendo Switch Treehouse Live Stream, Capcom revealed they are bringing the classic fighting game Street Fighter II to the Nintendo Switch! It will offer new characters, classic and HD graphic options, and support the unique features of the Nintendo Switch!
We don’t currently have a price or release date for the game but Capcom promises that information will be coming soon.
Ultra Street Fighter II is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Square Enix has announced they are developing a game for the Nintendo Switch. The game currently only has a working title but it is being developed by the same team that gave us the Bravely Default games. Check it out and see for yourselves!
