Control: Ultimate Edition Released for Mac March 26, 2025

Apple has just followed through with a major promise from last year. Remedy’s Control, one of the best games from 2019, has just been ported to Mac, optimized for the new M4 processors. The Ultimate Edition of the game includes the original game’s season pass, featuring two DLC expansions that came along with it.
The PC version has always been considered the best looking version of the game, and since Apple’s more recent processors have support for some of the hardware features that made the PC version look so good, including ray-tracing, it will be interesting to see how good this game can actually look on a Mac…or maybe I just really want to stream this game to my Vision Pro.
Control: Ultimate Edition is out now for PC, Mac, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Enormous Free Update Releasing for Control: Ultimate Edition March 10, 2025

Remedy fans and owners of Control: Ultimate Edition are getting a late Christmas present this week! When Control was first released on its initial platforms back in 2019, particularly for the PS4, specific preorder incentives and platform specific content was released on the original game. This included exclusive in-game player skins, and an entire series of missions starring the legendary Game God Hideo Kojima. These incentives did not carry over to the Control: Ultimate Edition, and until now, there was no way to use any of the content or play those missions on our modern consoles.
Today, Remedy has confirmed that all copies of Control: Ultimate Edition will receive a free patch which will automatically unlock all of the previously locked in-game content. The patch has already been released on Steam, but they have promised that the update will come to the Epic, GOG, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions VERY soon.
This is fantastic news, as Kojima’s missions were some of my most memorable in-game moments when I played them on the original PS4 version of the game.
Control: Ultimate Edition is out now for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5.

Remembering Halo Outpost Discovery February 25, 2025

2019 feels like it wasn’t too long ago, but at the same time it was a long time ago, wasn’t it? In 2019, Microsoft hosted a touring event to bring their beloved Halo franchise into the real world and it was called Halo: Outpost Discovery. We were fortunate enough to attend the event when it made a stop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and recorded as much of the event as possible while we could in 4K video. We had an absolute blast and walked away with many fond memories.
While we did a full multi-part review of the event shortly after returning from it, a lot of great footage we took of the event remained on the cutting room floor. A few days ago, we received a request to use some of the footage we created from the first and (as of the time of writing) only Halo: Outpost Discovery. So, five years later, we decided to put together ALL of our video from the event’s show floor in one continuous video. The hope is that this footage will remain for posterity. Enjoy!
